One of the more laughable pitching matchup discrepancies I've seen in a while.

We are a good team and we got one. They are a good team and they got one.

All things equal we are the better team and as long as we take care of business and win the series today, it is a great weekend.

I don’t think Woodruff is that bad.

The Cubs are clearly going for an opener or a complete bullpen game, and the way their maligned relievers shut down the Brewers last night it might work for them.

We’ll see if Woodruff can keep the Cubs in check while facing a hot Cubs lineup without the advantage of the hitting background that helped him, Sproat, Singer, and Lodolo dominate their opponents last week.

What the Brewers really need is for the offense to show up. It shouldn’t be asking too much to hope for a team that is averaging over 5 runs a game to score more than 2 runs more often than once every 3 days. It will be tougher with one of the few hitters who has produced recently Contreras) sitting out

It's now pretty apparent why they like Kuhnel. He appears to be one of these guys who can work, rub a little dirt on his arm & be good to go the next day. So we'll see if he can do that & get, you know, outs. I'm interested to see what the roles are for guys like Gasser, Sproat & Drohan over the next couple of weeks.

Sounds like Rodriguez & Henderson are on the cusp of rehab assignments, with Crow maybe not far behind.

Brady Singer has followed up his mastery of the Brewers by getting bombed for 4 runs (including the 18th HR he’s allowed) with nobody out in the second inning against the Pirates.

I think it’s pretty clear that something with the light and batter’s eye is a huge reason nobody on either team could hit in the first two games of that series. It was overcast in game 3 and both offenses looked much better

This fact should make us all nervous because Woodruff also benefited from the batter’s eye blind spot. Chicago is a much better offense & there won’t be a light issue. Hopefully, he has six plus innings of quality pitching using his vet instincts & pitching wisdom.

Maybe Turang gets going today.

Not against a lefty.

He's hitting 0.183 against Lefty's this year.

Chourio hopped after crossing first.

Yeah, the one guy at the top of the lineup actually contributing offensively.

I finally see what y'all have said about Sanchez wasting ABS challenges.

Yeah, credit for getting the first one but challenged an obvious correct call. Got a little too cocky. I expect the second challenge to be gone by the fifth inning.
