Mis is listed as the starter on the brewers website, sproat Tuesday

Wait what ? Gosh I hope this is true because I’m going tomorrow. Initially it was listed as Sproat tomorrow and Miz Tuesday.

The Brewers are 11 W - 6 L in their last 17 games so their opponent scoring first in 13 of those games hasn't really slowed them down too much.

During one of the recent Apple TV games they mentioned the Brewers were the only team in MLB with a winning record when their opponent scores first. I thought that was a pretty telling tidbit as to the quality of team we've been witnessing this season.

But again, that never seemed to be the OP’s point. It seemed to be a joking comment that the Brewers have been falling behind early so maybe it would just make sense to tune in later to see if they have come back.

He can correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think he meant it as a serious comment to be refuted with a lot of numbers.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Yeah, I saw as recently as this morning on the MLB site that Sproat was starting Monday. Now that site shows Mis tomorrow.

Any chance we jump out to a lead in a game or should I wait to tune in about the fifth inning

Third time through the order.

During innings one through five the Brewers have scored 261 runs (9th) and allowed 194 runs (2nd) for a +67 differential.

During innings six onward the Brewers have scored 238 runs (1st) and allowed 176 runs (9th) for a +62 run differential.

Pretty even up overall, guess it just depends on if you prefer run scoring or run prevention.

The Cubs are currently fifth in MLB with a +53 run differential for all of their innings.

I'd be curious to see first 2 months vs last 2 months..felt more like a recent trend

I have low expectations today. Seems every time we get within striking distance of the Dodgers, we struggle the next few games.

That is actually meaningless when the top two division winners from each league (American League and National League) receive a first-round bye.

True except best record does still get home field if they meet.

One out into the game and we have half our challenges left. Does Murphy ever even have a conversation with Sanchez about his challenge habits?

Sanchez and Contreras are making me want MLB to get rid of ABS next year.

I may be alone in my preference, but I wish MLB would use the technology they have & go to 100% ABS & remove the ball & strike calls from umpires.

Getting in the top 2 is a major advantage, but getting the top seed is not exactly meaningless. In addition to home-field, you also avoid the 3-seed in the second round. I agree that top 2 is more important, though.

That would be disrespectful to Sanchez.

I have cheered for Gasser to become a quality rotation arm. I hope he bounces back from a poor outing last Sunday. He’s humble & a likeable young man.

Totally agree.  I was hard on Gasser early during his initial struggles, but he’s become an important part of our rotation
