Surely Ashby is unavailable tonight after that one big pitch last night!

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

...and Stallings

Getting to the point where Ashby, Megill, and especially Abner need some work. Sproat, unfortunately, tends to provide work opportunities for the bullpen,,,

I like a TyMahle with rice and pinto beans.

Giants are a little above average in OPS, but are 25th in runs scored, They're a little below average in runs allowed (19th). Overall, they aren't a good team, but they shouldn't be as horrid as their record - only 3 games ahead of the Rox...

are the hats they wore this weekend available anywhere?  they didn't really match the rest of the uniform, but I like them.

Looks like the fitted version is sold out at MLB Shop, but they do still have the adjustable version available at the HOF store.

Could maybe try the Clubhouse Store at AmFam too if you are local.

I have love-hate feelings with them since the 90s (or whenever they first came out).  I think it looks good at first glance... but then hate them the longer I look at it.

The only thing worse than the 90's MB hats from the weekend is the full logo with the home plate and crossed bats. Biggest negative gap between old and new when that rebrand happened. Went from arguably the GOAT logo in American professional sports history to one of the worst.

thanks!

I prefer adjustable hats anyway. I'm lazy and grow a frizzy German 'fro every year and a fitted hat doesn't fit so good after a few months

One of the reasons the brewers entered a dark age in the 90s and 00s is because they ditched what is one of the great logos in American professional sports

I have no personal connection to anything related to this, but does anyone know which came first between the MB glove and Whalers? Seems like the same general idea...

The Hartford Whaler logo was created in 1979 when the team renamed from the New England Whalers to the Hartford Whalers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hartford_Whalers)

The Brewers ball and glove was created in 1977 and first worn in 1978 (https://www.mlb.com/news/brewers-ball-in-glove-logo-history)

Brewers for the win.

I "like" the MB thing just because it's old and I was a kid when they wore them. The design itself is extremely ugly. I was too young to have any memories of the original ball & glove teams. My first real season I remember is 1994. So Motre Dame just brings back my childhood. They were also just terrible. It's kinda weird to me anyone likes that logo or that they use it in any form.

I do still absolutely love the original, purple Angry Buck logo from that time period.

Chourio, Mitchell, Bauers, Lara, and Vaughn cannot all be in the field at the same time. Whoever sits will be commented upon, without fail.

The problem is when Frelick was here and terrible Vaughn was sitting against righty. Now that Lara is here and hitting Vaughn suddenly is the man against righty. It's nonsense. That's the frustration
