Are we in line for a comp pick after the 1st if Misi is top 3 in the Cy Young? Pretty sure thay we are in line for a comp A pick. Maybe Bauers could catch fire the last month and a half and decline a qualifying offer (unlikely).

I will throw up the 1st interesting prospect (who likely will go to high for us)

Striker Pence- 6'6" power right who throws 100 routinely. As a HS prospect, he declassified to 2027 from 28 so he is a tad younger. He also is a decent hitter and is from Corona, CA (not same HS as Ebel's). In all likelihood he is a top 20 pick and we dont take HS pitchers so he probably isn't a Brewer in a year.

No you need on the roster to start your rookie year or to be called up within the first two weeks of the season to be eligible for PPI so Misiorowski winning Cy Young would not net us a PPI pick.

No compensation for not signing Knaak, correct (only for 1st/2nd rounders?)

And they will be in line for another competitive balance pick - is it A or B this upcoming year, or is that a lottery thing?

And Bauers is the only FA that could recieve a QO?

Also plays on the brewers area code team with trey ebel  and Julian Garcia

Assuming all remains the same post-CBA discussions (or even if there's a change that it might not affect the first draft after), the Brewers will be in line for a Competitive Balance A pick, yes.

This is correct, no compensation for not signing Knaak.

I know the Brewers have their methods and it’s hard to argue with the results, but I really hope they grab a high upside TOR type starting pitcher in the 1st round next year. The system needs so more high end pitching prospects.

Those types are not normally available where the Brewers have been picking.  Best case scenario is you find someone like Miz worst case scenario you find someone who doesn’t even make it to the majors.  You have to get extremely lucky or find a diamond in the rough.
