And the bed is far better to sleep on compared to the couch.

Meh, sleeping on the couch is like camping.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

I don’t have a lot of faith in the mariners after seeing them this weekend.    They kind of look ready to hit the Bahamas

Not disagreeing, but they are only 3 out of the WC and 4 out of the division - they really should be in desperado mode. They're also much better at home.

They are still firmly in the Wild Card hunt.

Just caught a glimpse of the 1985 draft where we picked bj surhoff first overall.

Will Clark #2

Bobby Witt #3

barry Larkin #4

barry bonds #6

those were some franchise changing picks.     Oof

It doesn’t look like it’s motivating them

They won a couple of games from the  first place Astros last weekend, they should put up a pretty good fight at home. Boyd has been stinking it up as well lately

I'd also say if they were mailing it in, I don't think you see them bounce back as well as they did after losing 22-0. They beat us the next game and then they fought back to make it a competitive game after going down 6-0 in the first inning in game three.

Gasser probably should be swapped for another bullpen arm.

Swapping Gasser for a bullpen arm doesn't help the current problem of being thin on leverage availability. If the Brewers needed innings ate today they could have had Wilson eat the innings. Adding someone like Stallings wouldn't have changed anything.

Brewers have off day again on Monday. They should be fine if they can get through next two days

Surhoff was still a good player and had a very good, long career.

He just wasn't Barry Bonds.

Or Larkin or Clark.    But he wasn’t a bust

Chris Sale on Miz: "It seems like he's kind of in a league of his own this year. It's probably the most impressive fastball I've ever seen. We knew it was going to be tough sledding tonight."

Why because they lost 2 of 3 against the Brewers on the road? Everybody has pretty much been doing that.

80!!!!!!!

When yr the first team to 80 wins, and the only team yet to lose 50 games, you might just have the best record in MLB by a couple two tree games.

Actually, it's more like Glamping. At my age, I no longer camp so the glamp rings like the Freedom Bell.

No need to apologize.   I just don’t know what caught the ire      Packers fumbled already anyways.

An impressive win and an important one in my mind, if one can be so in August.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave
