Many of us are old enough to remember when an 81 win season was worth celebrating.

Mark bought the team and has totally revamped the organization with bold hires and brave decisions……..and now they are the dominant team in the NL central……..

We all want a Workd Series but to have this extended run of elite regular season baseball is truly a joy.

Mark isn’t from Milwaukee but he really has become one of us.

I do not appreciate the $13 per ticket fee for playoff tickets.

That is $500k per home game. ridiculous.

I'm still in awe about a significant portion of the fanbase complaining that Mark is cheap, especially when we don't know what the ownership group is spending on the operations that allows us to win with less payroll spend.

People really don't remember the Wendy years.

Attanasio will likely never get a credit he deserves.

Buys the Brewers and opts to keep the GM, Doug Melvin, around. Ends up a genius move and the perfect GM for the situation.

After Melvin had done as much as he could, Attanasio pivots to a younger high risk/high reward GM in David Stearns. Again this turns out to be a genius move. Actually, this is probably the biggest single transactional move in the history of the organization.

When Stearns leaves, Attanasio decides to stay in house and simply promotes Arnold. Again, a total genius move in retrospect.

He also played a big part in putting Craig Counsell in the dugout. Which, you guessed it, proved to be a genius move. This of course is the only reason current manager, Pat Murphy, is even here to begin with.

It’s kind of crazy the Brewers have been on an upward trajectory the entirety of Attanasio owning the team…a whole quarter century.

Yah, understood.  But you can’t blame that on Mark A. or the Brewers.  That’s an MLB thing.

i think.

Bump…….we lost our GM who wanted to go back to NY and manage the team he grew up rooting for as a kid.

We lost our manager who wanted so badly to reset the salary market that he left his home town team and moved 90 miles south to their biggest rival.

He built an organization that has done nothing but win the last 9 years in the smallest market in the majors………promoted from within at every turn…….and trusted his guys.

Now we are going back to the WS…….just one more step to go.

What a ride it’s been.

Criticizing Attanasio at this point simply outs you as a moron whose opinions aren't to be taken seriously.

For the smallest market in baseball, we truly couldn't do any better.

He clearly has a 99.9th percentile ability to identify talent and build organizations. The Brian Anderson hire was the first one where I was like "Oh, this guy can find diamonds in the rough".

It's clear that he's going to be the next commissioner of baseball and I've resigned myself that it will be ok because it will be good for the game of baseball to have Mark running the show, even if everyone ends up hating him because it's part of the commissioner's job to make unpopular decisions.

I assumed he was being sarcastic……otherwise it’s a pretty untimely response…..lol

19th payroll in 30th market is pretty decent investment.  A bunch that didn't turn out to be particularly efficient (Woodruff, Rengifo, McCullers/May contracts) but continued to make moves.  And most importantly, the long-term commits with Chourio, Pratt, Lara.

Let's not forget the Murphy hire, which most found "uninspiring" and "lazy" in the below fun re-read, and understanding the importance of retaining Chris Hook and making him one of the top paid assistants.

I'm just extremely thankful that Rickie Weeks was never hired to be our manager.

EXTREMELY THANKFUL!

So is his son ready to take over the reins if that happens? I know he isn’t selling the team.

I will remember this thread when they don't extend Contreras. I am already reading all over from fans that they should pay him. (They should not)

I hope they don't deviate from what has made them successful
