It's actually funny at this point...  He probably can't wait to leave Milwaukee for a team that appreciates what he has to offer.  My guess is that his power will return to normal next season as he gets further away from that hamate injury.

Hilarious comment. Yeah Vaughn probably can't wait to leave Milwaukee the place where he's turned around his career.

Good thing we removed the 300 hitter from the game. [\sarcasm]

The Vaughn thing is just so weird to me. I’m trying not to complain about it because yes we’re very good and yes Murphy is a MOTY candidate again and all that. I understand all that.

But the Vaughn thing is just bizarre to me. He is hitting .315 for the season now. He was exactly what you hoped he would be. Yet I think he has around 150 less plate appearances than Yelich.

Even when he finally gets him into the lineup against a righty it’s like it’s begrudging. Okay you can play, but I’m going to stick you in the 8 spot and yank you for Frelick the first chance I get.

Yeah, I just don’t get.

Maybe he’ll surprise us for the better. Slightly possible?

Yes … & maybe Harrison will throw a complete game no-hitter on Friday … but it’s not likely in either instance

...but plays about half the time.

You don't think he isn't dying to go someplace where he plays regularly?

Yeah, I just don’t get.

It is one of the strangest things about this season for sure along with refusing to play Ortiz when he was hot and Hamilton came back.

Has a pitching team ever challenge that it did hit the batter?

Yelich is actually how I found this board.  Most of my friends and family are casual fans who still think of Yelich as the 2018/19 model, so when I started saying we should bench him it came across as disloyalty to them.

When I first started reading this board and found like minded folks, I was like, "Oh yeah, I'm home."  :)

I was in favor of standing pat at the trade deadline. I’m not sure we improved the team in any way. I’m not fond of any of the players we acquired … possibly May, but not the relievers.

And he's treated like a redheaded stepchild by his manager. Will be interesting to see what next year looks like at first base with Bauers likely getting a big deal somewhere.

Who knows maybe they'll pedal Vaugh in the offseason
