Honestly that walk off against Mason Miller has blessed me with a lot of confidence in this team. Don’t get me wrong, I still get anxious like every other diehard, but I still felt optimistic after the top of the first.

Stealing a scoreless inning from May against the top of their order felt huge to me in the moment and it cleared a realistic path to our A bullpen holding them scoreless the rest of the way.

Felt like another game which we clearly outplayed our opponent, but weren’t quite able to deliver the dagger. I think we will have one of those in our future before this thing is done.

we just absolutely chewed up Rasmussen. Very similar feeling to the Yamamoto match up

I kinda think this was the Rays best punch and we took it head on but recovered.

Only other Packer fans will relate to this, but I remember the Tramon Williams pick 6 off Matt Ryan in the 2010-11 divisional round just before halftime as the “they are not going to be stopped, are they?” moment of their Super Bowl run.

I think Chourio walking off Miller will be remembered as that playoff moment for the Brewers.

With the off day I'd assume everyone but Ashby is available on Monday. Probably looking at more 1 inning appearances, but we've got 3 arms who haven't even pitched out of the pen yet. And at least in short bursts I have reasonable confidence they can get the job done. Ultimately it is a must win game for the Rays at this point, and even if Freddy doesn't have a hiccup I'd be surprised if he can make it through the 5th before we wear him down.

Does anyone really believe that Ashby is unavailable on Monday?

It’s Game 3 of the World Series. He is 100% available if they need him.

Although, I’m sure they’d love to give him two off in a row.

Get up to the plate and stare at 6 pitches and then cry about a check swing, you sealed your own fate. That's about the weakest call/no call to complain about. They had so many opportunities to do something after the 1st inning. They have nobody to blame but themselves. I could not care less about that call even if it was incorrect.

This angle is going to make it look misleading and where the knob of the bat relative to the tip of the barrel matters. For all we know the bat is actually at the completely opposite angle. Looking at all the angles, even if one thinks it was a swing, it was clearly not this egregious.

What even is the rule for check swings? All the debatable ones this postseason and the explanation is always different. One time they claimed the bat has to basically break the front of home plate or something. So the bat could technically be ‘forward’ looking and still be a check swing.

Much better angle than the overhead one which, IMO, doesn't tell you anything.

Yeah, how about we get to Freddy early and win in a ten run rout for a change? It would also do my blood pressure good.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

The check swing is probably 50/50 depending on which angle you look at it from,

Just one of those that could have gone either way and you can’t really be upset about it either way (although they’re going to be).

But it wasn’t some egregiously blown call, and if it gets called the other way the Rays don’t even score - Ashby just gets a shot at Aranda.

Felt kinda bad for the Badgers playing against USC at the same time with 90% of the state's sports fans eyes glued to the World Series. The Bucks were smart to move their game up earlier in the day to accommodate Game 1.

Needless to say going up 2-0 is huge. The fact Henderson spotted them 4 runs in the first and they rallied back again just goes to show the grit and the magical run this team is on. For the bullpen to basically pitch six shut out innings after Henderson left is massive. The trade for May and Romero paid off at least last night. Every other night it seems someone else on this team steps up and they claw and scratch and do enough to win games. You could call the check swing on Diaz being a 50/50 call but it's not like the Rays haven't had calls go their way too this series so far. A walk there wouldn't have tied the game and the Rays had plenty of chances to extend their lead, but the bullpen did enough to keep them scoreless.

Gasser vs Peralta will be an interesting matchup. Kinda wild to think to date he's been our most consistent starter. We shelled Freddy pretty good when we played against the Mets so I like our chances in Game 3. Two wins away and the fans should have a strong presence in St. Pete. Let's keep it going!

Have to agree. If they need him, they'll use him, but they'd prefer to have him down for game three if they can. If it's like a 7-2 lead, they'll use Hall & Romero instead, but a close lead and I'd bet he gets the 8th.

Feels more like a sweep again. I think the fan presence is going to be downright embarrassing. Brewers setting merchandise records and the difference in watch parties at both stadiums has been humiliating. I think half that stadium is going to be Milwaukee fans. I don't think anything is over, players decide the games, but Tampa is reeling.

There is no rule, totally subjective. Was it struck at by the batter or not. Nobody knows, so debating it is kind of pointless. Kind of hard to imaging MLB has lasted this long without addressing it.

I actually wonder if they wouldn’t just use him anyway. Why even mess around? This series is basically over if they win Game 3. Dodgers I could have seen get hot and with their starters pull off 4 wins in a row. Rays? I just can’t see that.

Some people were hoping for a 4 run lead last night to sit Ashby/Megill for someone else. I’d have been trying one of those guys out for the 9th in a 4 run game.

I remember all the "analysts" talking like Rasmussen was some kind of kryptonite for the Brewers' lineup.  I guess they forgot what they did to the Dodgers' all star pitching group.

You never know where the homers will come from.  Hamilton, and now Frelick.

This is unreal, and I'm lovin' it.

Not just analysts.  Some on here were on that boat.

I saw soemthin that said 30% of ticket sales were out of Wisconsin.  Factor in the heavy transplant popultion down here and it is going to be hard for Rays fans the next couple of games.  I watched game three tickets drop a lot and picked up two tickest for a $100 over face value.  Its going to be ugly.

I heard some of that, "Rasmussen might be the best pitcher in the league", etc etc, and my reaction was, oh, like Skubal? Yamamoto? Snell? Miller? Just like those guys, huh?

I mean, Rasmussen is crazy good and he had a fantastic postseason before yesterday. I wasn't thrilled that we had to face him, but I kept reminding myself that that's what I thought about every Dodgers starting pitcher.
