After so many years of heartbreak, especially the Alonso homer and Dodgers sweep, one really just had to wonder if it would ever happen. It always seemed like things always went wrong for us and other teams had improbable moments.

The second that ball hit the roof and fell into Chourio’s lap I instantly wondered, that was our moment…wasn’t it? Did we finally get the break we have so often watched other teams get? Then came the Chourio walk-off and the Mitchell HR robbery. The moment Jake Bauers hit that HR, I knew that was it. This team was a team of destiny and it was piling up improbable moments like we saved them up since 2018.

IMO the parade version of the merch is substantially better than the on-field stuff from last night. I won't shame anyone for wanting that shirt but it is ugly, lol.

I can wait for the hysteria to die down to get merchandise. I definitely don’t want a black T-shirt because I want things to wear when I go to Florida in January and black isn’t always that comfortable in the hot sun.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I have said otherwise in the past but there is now zero chance Contreras gets traded this offseason.

We need to extend him now, give him Yeli's contract.

I already got an ad from the T-Rats and they're selling merc in their shop.  I'll have to stop by this weekend.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

Yes sir!  I live 10 minutes from there.   Going to go broke with merch and buying baseball cards from Topps

Nearly as big as the shock of the Brewers winning the World Series is seeing Willson Contreras in a Brewers jersey

That Matt Arnold, wily like a fox: trading for Dustin may knowing that having that guy pretty much guarantees you win the World Series as evidenced by May’s now fourth World Series ring this decade.

We made the trade to win the World Series. Mission accomplished.

So, this is cognitive dissonance

Also i wanted to say something snarky about the rays but i just can’t.   They’ve been gracious in defeat.   The players and manager.   I will keep it to myself

Why would you want to? I like the Rays. I love Peralta and Rasmussen. I don’t have a “second” favorite team but if it had been any other year, I would have been cheering them on.

If Contreras makes all the pitchers better, maybe. We would need to be fine with a sub .700 OPS in his middle 30’s.

Sproat is definitely part of this team. You'll be glad he's with us in the near future, possibly next year, I'm sure of it.

Agreed, next season a rotation of Miz/Henderson/Gasser/Priester/Sproat.

Holy hell!!!!!!!!!

And I didn't even mention Harrison, which leads me.... Are we done with him? I dont get how or why he didnt pitch in the playoffs at all.

I bet Ashby gets a shot, if he wants. Which he does.

I think winning this without getting skubal makes this way better my opinion.   This team didn’t need a mercenary and doesn’t fit into the way this team played or was put together

That is the team we wished we could be years ago before this success. A well-run organization that finds talent that isn’t in FA. Poetic that is the team we ended up playing and beating. I’ve always kind of pulled for them…especially since they have to be in the same division as Yankees/Red Sox.

Minus, Yandy Diaz, that guy seems like a clown. Bat flipping on the verge of WS defeat and it wasn’t even a hit? Bat flipping a useless hit when getting blown out?

Lame-ass ESPN already manufacturing that "Murphy ripped the Yankees" as if that line wasn't a boilerplate insert-big-market-here joke between coach and player. If anything it's a joke at Bauers's expense more than New York's.

I wonder what the banner is going to look like and where it’s going to be at in the park next year

Hopefully goes up during a Cubs series.

I have now watched every favorite sports team of mine win a championship in the last 16 years.

This was always the missing one on the mantle for me. This is the one for me, that will change the way I watch sports and allow me to watch and enjoy the journey with less anxiety, no matter what happens, knowing that in every sport you have 30-32 teams all trying for the same goal and only one getting to celebrate at the end of the season, and no matter what happens, all the heartbreaks were worth it because I got to see all my teams win championships. I think. I hope,

As some have mentioned, I feel so much lighter this morning. Last night, just a feeling of "job's done," followed by fatigue.

This morning? Lighter than a feather. Walking on air.

I wasn't around in the beginning, but It's hard not to feel like this was 57 years in the making, or maybe 62 years, going back to the Braves leaving. It's hard not to feel like the whole journey was to get to this point.

And they did it our way.
