  1. Yes, there was video of him from the Rattlers taking batting practice today.
  2. They did after Voit was cut loose. 40 man is full again. A move will have to be made however to get Urias off the 60 day IL. With all of these injuries the Brewers don't have a single position player on the 40 man that is in the minors.
  3. With the way the Brewers hit LHP I wouldn't mind him getting more at bats against them. It's not like the Brewers have a great alternative right now
  4. Not really, takes the spot of RHP DH from Winker if he can hit. This is the second time I can recall the Brewers calling up somebody with a 8 year gap. When the Brewers called up Erik Almonte in 2011 he last played for the Yankees in 2003.
  5. Perkins, which isn't great. Would rather go with Anderson in the OF and let it ride with Monasterio for a while.
  6. Not complaining about Apple but not liking the 4:10 start.
  7. Went to the Admirals Western Conference Finals game tonight. Fun game that they won. Good crowd for a Thursday Night. Kind of bizarre going to a game at the arena as I remember going there as a kid to see the Bucks. I know they have remodeled over the years but still very much as I remember during the 80's and brining back memories long forgotten.
  8. Years of control certainly matter so yes his value is going to be lower than 2022 or 2021. The trade with Hader did work as they ended up with Contreras, Payamps and Gasser. However, it is still a bad look to throw in the towel in this poor division. The Brewers could make the case they were going to be better with Rogers last year but will be even harder to say this team will be better without Burnes. Probably should have traded Burnes in the off season and now will likely have to wait until after this season.
  9. He gave up 1 run in five innings his first start against a good diamondback lineup then 5 runs in less than an inning in his second start against another good Braves lineup. He is low end emergency starter but kind of where the Brewers are still at.
  10. Same old crap, even when another company goes bankrupt. Thumbs down to MLB.
  11. Think you are right unfortunately. It is only the 10 day IL but looking more and more like these injuries may be too much to overcome for Winker.
  12. It has only happened once where a division winner finished under 500, just not going to happen.
  13. I think it was a poor decision by the Brewers to have Voit play the role he did, which was the weak side platoon. I do think Ruf fits that role better but hope they can upgrade still. A decent stopgap for now.
  14. Good for him, had been with the organization for a long time so have followed for a long time, an easy guy to root for. Looking forward to him pitching in Milwaukee in a couple of weeks.
  15. He is good at what he does so some don't know but he is blind.
  16. I read that wrong and thought they decided to option Milner and have Small as the only lefty.
  17. My main concern when they brought him in was his strikeout rate. To go from 6.7 for his career to 10.4 this season is a huge jump. I also give credit to Arnold because he isn't sticking with the relief guys that are not working out. He didn't need all to hit, just some.
  18. I actually like the current scoreboard but understand these things only have a certain life. Can't even imagine it being twice the current size.
  19. Voit is already on the 40 but yeah would be simple enough to just not bring Voit back and Urias to take his spot next week. Would still have to decide what active position player to demote,
  20. Not really surprising it is a major league deal considering they have no starter on Thursday and giving Rea another start tonight after lasting three innings last time around.
  21. You know the Brewers will not play him like that so his success against RHP doesn't matter on this team.
  22. Phillies pitching is even worse than the Brewers so not coming to the Brewers, good or bad.
  23. I imagine Rea is Lauer's long man tonight if it is the reverse of what happened to Rea last week. Wouldn't assume Rea is starting in the Astros series.
  24. Covey pitched 4 innings on Wednesday for the Dodgers when Dustin May had to leave after 1 inning. Covey was DFA the next day. Would consider giving Covey the start Monday or Tuesday as the other options are not real great either. Probably looking at Tyson Miller, Ethan Small. Janson Junk or some combination of that and a Wilson piggyback. Covey has been starting all year, started in China last year. Maybe he could keep the Brewers in the game and pitch decent for a couple of games at least, similar to what Rea did for a bit and then DFA if necessary.
