  1. Some speculation from Longenhagen in the FG chat.., “Sloan's number was big, like 4 mil (heard this today) so I'm not sure anyone will take him unless it's MIL in the comp“
  2. No doubt. The Brewers front office knows way more than I do, so I’m just going to sit back and enjoy.
  3. Smith and Jurrangelo supposedly going to CHC and SEA so would only have to get past MIA at that point.
  4. Longenhagen hearing he might not make it past BOS at #12 in the FanGraphs chat.
  5. Don’t think you are mistaken. Ross went 2.2 IP (34 pitches) with Wisco on 0706 then 3.2 IP (46 pitches) with Nashville on 0710. Think he’d be ready for that 0724 start. Hall’s last appearance was 0709 and he took a liner of the forearm, which I believe they said would shut him down at least ten days. Checking Hall’s game log looks more to me like they were setting him up to be a multi inning reliever upon his return. That or he just couldn’t get past three innings.
  6. Yeager back out for the ninth trying to record the four out save. & he goes pop out, strike out, line out to put the finishing touches on the 7 to 5 Shuckers win and a much needed 5 W - 0 L day from Carolina on up to Milwaukee.
  7. Yoho comes back out for the eighth after throwing 24 pitches in the seventh. Gave up a run (some bad luck with a Casey Martin error in there) and Justin Yeager has been summoned to try and get the third out of the inning with two men on base, which he does on a three pitch punch out.
  8. Nick Kahle singled, Casey Martin reached on error, and Dylan O’Rae walked for the fifth time to load the bases. Singles from Carlos Rodriguez and Ernesto Martinez scored all three giving Biloxi a 7 to 4 advantage top of eight.
  9. Dylan O’Rae walked for the fourth time & stole second, Carlos Rodriguez singled, Brock Wilken singled, Connor Scott doubled, a passed ball scored Wilken, Ernesto Martinez Jr. walked and Adam Hall singled to tie the score at four apiece top of seven. Craig Yoho is on after the stretch and has loaded the bases with two outs on a pair of singles and a walk, but escapes the jam with his second strikeout of the inning.
  10. James Meeker came into a two on nobody out jam in the Nashville ninth and coaxed three outs out of two ground balls to earn his first save of the year as the Sounds prevail 3 to 2.
  11. Tyler Bryant pitched a scoreless eighth (1 BB | 2 K) and Jeferson Figueroa worked around a pair of walks to notch his second save of the season in the 7 to 4 Mudcats win.
  12. Stiven Cruz threw a scoreless eighth (1 HBP) and Chase Costello struck out the first two batters of the ninth before going single, walk, single to load the bases. & Costello gets a ground ball to Luke Adams to secure the 5 to 3 TRats victory and pick up his third save of the season.
  13. Blalock gave up a walk, a pair of singles and a run in the fifth before Bo Bowman came on and stranded both runners with a sac bunt and two strikeouts.
  14. Brewer Hicklen walked, stole 2nd, went to 3rd on an error, and then scored on a wild pitch as the Sounds now lead 3 to 1. Janson Junk is back out on the mound top of eight after taking over for Stallings in the sixth.
  15. Yhoswar Garcia singled, stole second then scored on Luis Castillo’s second double of the game. Carolina now leading 7 to 4 heading to top of eight after Morris Austin threw a scoreless frame bottom of seven (1 BB).
  16. Nashville leads 2 to 1 bottom six with a two run Brewer Hicklen blast accounting for the runs. Garrett Stallings went 5.1 IP | 1 ER | 5 H | 3 BB | 4 K.
  17. Biloxi tied zero zero top of five though a trio of two out walks have loaded the bases for Connor Scott. Bradley Blalock has thrown four hitless scoreless innings with 2 BB | 5 K.
  18. Wisco leading 5 to 1 bottom of six. Luis Lara, Eduardo Garcia, Felix Valerio and Ramon Rodriguez have a pair of hits each already. Devin Williams struck out the side top of six while Alexander Cornielle preceded him with two 1-2-3 innings of his own including three strikeouts.
  19. Mudcats lead 6 to 2 top of six. Yophery Rodriguez is 2 for 3 with a walk, a pair of runs scored, and two RBI. Dikember Sanchez (1 H | 1 K) and Jeison Peña have each thrown scoreless frames as Brailin Rodriguez takes the mound bottom six.
  20. Going back to Haase’s first year as a regular in 2021 he is at -9 DRS | -13.1 FRM in 1,680 innings compared to -6 DRS | -1.2 FRM in 2,266 innings for Sanchez. Neither is great shakes, but Haase has graded out worse than Sanchez behind the plate. Gary has also been better at the plate with a 98 wRC+ since 2021 compared to an 88 wRC+ for Haase.
  21. The Brewers backup catcher situation is fine, Haase has filled in admirably and Sanchez is on the mend. Two things working against Miller getting a 40 Man spot would be his defense (if he can only catch 19% of Southern League base stealers what will that percentage shrink to two levels up in MLB?) and his offense (MLB pitchers won’t be walking him 19.8% of the time or beaning him 6.5% of the time so there goes all his value at the plate since he doesn’t hit for average or slug). Clarke has a 90 wRC+ and 37.2% K rate in AAA, in what world does that kind of production warrant a 40 Man spot?
  22. Appears as though the ACL stringer made an oopsie and it turns out Pedro Ibarguen was the lead off hitter for the Zona Crew bottom of six. Pedro singled, and Eric Bitonti singled and Luiyin Alastre RBI singled, and then a Tyler Rodriguez ground out moved the runners to 2nd & 3rd with a wild pitch plating the second run of the inning. Eric Prado worked a perfect frame top of seven adding another strikeout to the back of his baseball card
