    Not really. I feel like on paper we won't be the favorites over the Braves in the NLWC series especially if Riley and Albies are back by then. Just look at the potential pitching matchups. Peralta vs Sale (2024 NL Cy Young) Montas vs Lopez (2024 NL ERA King) Rea/Civale/Myers/bullpen game vs Fried (multi time Cy Young vote receiver)

    Numbers from 2008 to now were all measured the same way, so you've heard wrong unless you're comparing to how velo was measured 50+ years ago.

    Nah it was read the same way in 2010.

    He had topped out at 104.8 before tonight and just hit 105.5 tonight. Hardest ever was Aroldis Chapman at 105.8 in 2010.

    3 straight months of this level production. Underlying numbers supporting said production. I think this might be what we can expect.

    Marmol crying to the ump and getting tossed worked. Matz getting a much bigger strike zone since then.

    Think he's wearing down. I'm just following on gameday but he's been extremely wild for his standards. A lot of pitches not even close to the strike zone.

    Yeah looks like a AAAA player. He was one of Nashville's worst hitters against 95+mph pitches. Not good defensively. Doesn't seem like he has much to offer

    That's also a really good thought. His changeup has looked so good this season. My only concern there is that his changeup is a harder changeup, so I feel like the sinker and changeup could blend together quite a bit like his slider and curveball have tendency to do at times. Honestly Freddy is just a bit of a weird pitcher. Tinkers with his stuff a lot.

    Great article @Jack Stern. I was kind of curious if you think Freddy Peralta could benefit from introducing a cutter this offseason. Seems his FB and Slider effectiveness have kind of steadily dropped over the last couple of years. Could a cutter be a good bridge pitch to connect the slider and FB more?

    The Cardinals' TV call of the Chourio HR was absolutely hilarious.     Not at all a given. Many predicted sub .500 year. I myself predicted 81-81 if I remember correctly.
