Not to mention Misiorowski is still a string bean. I doubt he ever fills out his frame to the extent Hudson and Megill have, but there's still plenty of room to fill out more.

Guys plural again. It’s one person homer who has done this on numerous threads lately.

I mean that last part isn’t remotely true. Most people here believe Misiorowski at this point is more likely to end up in an MLB bullpen than rotation.

So you’re tired of him being talked about as a SP while you readily admit he will be a SP in the minors? That doesn’t make much sense.

Because he is a SP prospect. The biggest reason he even went into the bullpen towards the end of last season was because he was coming up on his season innings limit and needed to reduce his workload in a bullpen role. Just because he’s a SP prospect doesn’t mean that will ultimately be his MLB role but yes he’s a SP for now.

That’s like saying the Brewers should have traded Hader because he lost trade value going from SP prospect to RP in the majors.

The Brewers are absolutely going to have him starting games in AAA to open the season. That doesn’t mean his eventual MLB role will be a SP but it’s been heavily reported that the org still views him as a potential SP longterm.

You missed that Bryan Hudson threw a changeup! Was classified as a cutter and the RPM number was surely bugged but it was 84mph with -1 IVB and 15 inches of arm side run. Savant incorrectly classified it as a cutter.

Something to keep an eye on. Looks like Bryan Hudson threw a changeup today. That rogue cutter is a changeup. I went back and looked at the video and it definitely looked like a changeup and changeup grip.

Nestor Cortes would have been 1st on the Brewers in xERA and fWAR while tied for 2nd in bWAR. Outside of a health perspective, if Cortes 2025 is a make or break season then every Brewers SP is a make or break season.

Yeah I kind of covered that. Guys this early in the year won't be going close to regular season effort, but Woodruff did admit that he was amped up for the session. So hard to know where Woodruff was from an effort standpoint and if touched 92 means closer to 91.5 or 92.9 or if he did it a singular time or more than once. I think overall it probably leans towards being good but it's pretty much impossible to know without more info. -
Ha no of course not. There's a reason why I have Payne as my 7th ranked prospect and Di Turi 38th. Hence Di Turi as a pick for a sleeper prospect. Honestly your push back against Di Turi actually makes it an even better pick because clearly you don't think he has it in him to take a step and I do push back against some of your evaluations on Di Turi especially at the plate. He's a guy who had a 92 wRC+ through July 31st in Carolina then just really fell off a cliff the last 5 weeks to the tune of a 53 wRC+. Fellow 18 year old Yophery saw a late season drop off as well. He was sitting at a 130 wRC+ at the end of July then had an 82 wRC+ the rest of the way. I think there's a good chance that both he and Yophery hit a late season wall in their first season in full season ball. Di Turi showed some intriguing characteristics at the plate especially for an 18 year old in his swing decisions and his ability to pull/lift the ball.

Of course they are strikingly different samples and normally I wouldn't bother referencing that small of a sample but you used Payne's 6 game A ball sample as an example of someone who looked the part so I thought it was fair game to do the same with Baez. I also watch the games. That's not something unique to you.

It's also tough to know how through the motions Woodruff was going. It being the first live action of the Spring you would kind of assume it would be more going through the motions than pitching midseason would be so you'd expect velo to be down. I remember Woodruff saying he was pretty amped up so maybe he was going higher effort than you'd expect for that early in spring. -
I'll easily take Margot over Hicklen or Collins to be a weakside platoon guy in the OF if that spot was ever needed.
