  1. Honestly 79 wRC+ would be a hot streak for Contreras at this point. Contreras wRC+ is flirting with the 50's since May 17th. Perkins in that same time frame has a 100 wRC+.
  2. Padres offense in this series has reminded me of our offense at the start of the season. Remember those days when everything was fun? Now we need to pray our ground balls with runners on base find holes because outside of Adames nobody is consistently driving the ball in the air.
  3. His slump is coming up on almost 150 PA.
  4. Pat Murphy disaster class tonight. Let Rea see the top of the order a 3rd time which turned our 3 run lead into a 1 run deficit. Used Milner against the same pocket of the order that he gave up a run against last night. Used Peguero with runners on base.
  5. Using a deception guy like Milner against the same part of the order 2 nights in a row fails miserably. Murphy making all the wrong moves tonight.
  6. Conteras let that FB eat him up. Framed it really poorly.
  7. I said in the 4th inning that Rea shouldn't see the 3rd time through with the type of contact he was giving up. I know the pitch count was amazing but that Padres had been all over his stuff all night makes tons of hard contact. Can't believe our manager brought him back out for the 6th after he gave up a HR to Arraez to make it 4-3.
  8. I don't know if that means weird coincidence or not. They would still be with the team in a hypothetical trade situation. In that scenario the FO would have asked for them to be pulled to avoid any last second injuries or something along those lines. Who knows maybe they got dinner last night at the same place and got food poisoning
  9. Yophery and Walling just collided in right center field. Walling held onto the ball. Thankfully they both look okay. Will have to monitor the rest of the way.
  10. It might have been more groin than leg but we never got a good view. The pitcher left the game.
  11. Wes Clarke just hit a 110 EV comebacker right at the pitcher and it looks like the pitcher caught it right in the leg. Pitcher is down and in a ton of pain.
  12. For Quero to be put on the 60-day IL he would needed to be added to the MLB then placed on the 60-day IL which would have him start accumulating service time. Gasser can go to the 60-day. Ross can be moved to the 60-day. Then you also have guys like Roller, Capra, Junk who could be DFA'd relatively easily. They could recall Uribe and throw him on the 60-day IL with him having meniscus surgery as well but same story as Quero that he would be accumulating service time in that scenario.
  13. Boeve and EBJ were late scratched out of the lineup. Here's the updated lineup:
  14. I coming bearing bad news BC. I agree with you though. Frelick hitting 5th because of the batters box he stands in is stupid.
  15. Both EBJ and Boeve were late scratched from the Biloxi lineup today. EBJ has had his fair share of injury issues, but Boeve has played 51 straight games since his promotion to Biloxi. Are we on trade watch or just a coincidence?
  16. Yeah I missed this one. Pratt to A+ and Yoho to AAA are probably the two promotions I most want to see.
  17. Feel like the Brewers were so aggressive with preseason/early season promotions that there might not be many midseason promotion opportunities. I was pretty shocked by the O-Rae promotion, so maybe they will get aggressive with midseason promotions as well. The only guy I really feel passionately about deserving a promotion right now is Yoho
  18. Velo was down about 2 mph and the command was lousy. Potential injury watch?
  19. I bring some terrible news on this Friday afternoon. Luis Pena was caught stealing today. The perfect season is no more.
  20. Honestly as much of a bummer as this is, I am relieved he opted for the surgery. If he's having the surgery on 6/24 then there's a chance he can help the MLB team come next September. I feel like rehab would have just delayed the inevitable and I think timing wise it's better for the surgery to be in June then say September/October.
  21. Russell Smith reinstated from the 7-day IL by Biloxi.
  22. Reached up to 97 doesn't mean he throws 97. Wichrowski touched 99/100 in the spring. That doesn't mean he throws 99/100.
  23. I mean obviously they would accept Chourio for Scott, but I figured people would use common sense and understand my comment as nothing the Brewers would realistically offer. I'll make sure to simplify my comments so all people can understand because it was clearly too complex for some. Scott is a fringe Top 50 SP prospect in baseball who has had good success in his brief MLB stint. The Mets aren't going to trade him unless they are getting a controllable MLB proven talent in return and even then they might not consider it. Cost controlled starting pitching is what everyone in the league craves. Yes the Mets rotation is pretty full this year but Severino and Quintana are both FA after the season and Manaea could potentially opt out of his player option depending on how he finishes the season meaning the rotation clears up for next season.
  24. Now I’m really convinced you have zero clue who Herrera is saying he throws 97 lmaooooooooooooo
  25. Literally zero chance the Mets are trading him like not a single chance.
