I don't even like the Tigers, but I've got to admit to welling up when they lifted Leyland on their shoulders.

Me too, but not because I was happy for them. Instead, I was a bit emotional over how bad they sucked, yet we went another year without being able to experience that, and I want to for once in my life (last time doesn't count since I had just graduated from a crib to a bed with rails on the side).

bill p. practically was given up on the dodgers on a around the horn episode in late july. now he acts like he was there all along. that bugs me.

it is a picture in my head. alex rodriguez going 4-4 with a homer and a bases clearing double to lead the brewers to the division series. who says he sucks? oh yeah new york fans. and alfosno soriano and good friend co co go into the stands and sign some autographs ................................................

Yeah, I'm definitely rooting for Oak/Det over Stl/NY. Actually I'd much rather be rooting for Hou/Philly in the NL. It's a shame they couldn't pull it off.

At least Detroit has made it possible for me to have someone to root for in the WS. Had NYY faced either STL or NYM, the season would at that point be dead to me.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I really want to see the Cards do it this year.

 

I'll even go so far as to say the Cards are my 2nd favorite team. Despite the Division rivalry, I can never seem to get to dislike them like the Cubs or the Twins.

I'm going to trick myself into thinking that the pain Yankee fans will feel from seeing the Mets in the playoffs is worth rooting for the Mets.

i'm rooting for the mets in the nl.. but the al is such a hard choice. i would probably have to go with the a's becuase of there small market status.

Hoping for Cards and Tigers in the series with the Cards taking it. NL Central and can't bring myself to root for a NY team or AL team as I dislike both immensely.

Russell, I have to give you some props. You were the most consistent (best) hitter during your series with the Cardinals. I still don't want you on this team, but you did have a good series in your first postseason experience.

cards--- in our division..shows hey i think our division was the toughest in the nl this year.

a's----small market story..

tigers-- david beating a bunch of goliaths.... two new york teams in one playoff? how awesome would that be
