This is starting to look really one sided. The Phillies are probably going to fall in 6 games or less.

Tough break for the Phils.

They thought they stuck out Damon on a foul tip to end the inning --- the fans exploded. And then, bam ... the Series is all but over.

Nice to see Captain Clutch come up huge for the Yankees tonight. Chase Utley has just been incredible this series. We may just end up going all 7 if the 3-man rotation catches up to Andy Pettitte.

Small sample? Also, I think it's smart to pitch away from Howard in most situations when you have Werth on deck, even as good as Werth is. It seems to me like Howard has been striking out swinging a lot on pitches out of the zone.

Watching Howard this postseason has made me appreciate Prince even more. Fielder just doesn't have the holes in his swing that Howard does, and he has every bit of his power. Put Prince in Citizens Bank Park for half of his games, and he's an MVP candidate every season.

On the radio broadcast, Morgan and Miller are discussing who should be MVP. Morgan was saying Petite because he won 2 games (assuming a win tonight). Miller made a case for Matsui and it was clear Morgan never supported that idea. He justified it with saying he couldn't vote for someone who didn't play in ever game, minutes after saying it should be Petite for playing in 2.

Oh Joe Morgan.

It was odd tonight, sitting at a basketball game at the Kohl Center and seeing Philadelphia-NY Yankees updates on the out of town scoreboard.

Pretty sucky way to end the 2009 season.

Okay, Doug Melvin and company! Get to work, boys!

I feel disgusted that 2009 ended this way. It was nice that the Phillies put up a fight, but the Yankees were by far the superior team. Only injuries and bad luck can stop them from repeating...and probably three-peating.

9 years. My goodness. It must have been torture waiting that long. I can't even imagine.
A long national nightmare is finally over. Cha-ching. I'm sure Joe Buck slept well.

The Wisconsin State Journal made me feel an iota better with its sports page headline in today's print version: MONEY TRAIN.

Here's a lame joke I heard today:

What's the difference between the Yankees and the Cubs?

The Yankees have won a championship in their new stadium.
