Just to be clear, it's the Orioles correct?, not the Blue Jays or Cardinals. There's several birds in MLB.

'birds' is much easier to type than 'Orioles'.

At first thought I was thinking the Cardinals. If that were the case he'd end up throwing 4 complete games and a no-hitter since putting on the Cardinals jersey resurrects your career.

Yes I would have thought most would known who the birds were.

Of course, how silly of us.

No kidding.

My first thought was also the Cards.

My first thought was the Cardinals, too, but I would have thought of the Orioles right away back when the Brewers were in the American League.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

my first thought was the Orioles so I knew what he was referring to.

So, there's one . . . . .

I thought Orioles at first too.... but that's probably only because that was the last highlight I saw before I left for work.

You knew me as Myday2001.

Yes, but I don't think salary relief is forthcoming. Unless I missed something, Wolf was released outright.

Don't the Brewers get salary relief if Wolf is picked up to the extent of - prorated minimum salary ($480K)? So they would save approx $80K.

Yes. I forgot about this, though I'm not sure that kind of cash is much salary relief. Not sure how I could forget about this a few years after the Cardinals added insult to injury by kicking the Brewers about .2 percent of the remaining money they owed Soup.

Are the Brewers on the hook for Wolf's $1.5M buyout in 2013? Or have the O's assumed that responsibility?

I'm betting on the Brewers being responsible for that money.

i would assume the brewers are on the hook for the buyout since they released randy..if he was claimed, then his contract goes to the birds, but when you just release a player, you settle your outstanding account and move on...i would guess randy has already been paid the buyout

I'm sure the Brewers are on the hook. And I doubt the Brewers have paid the buyout already (time value of money) unless their was contract language "upon release it comes due in full immediately".

Has this been confirmed anywhere?

There is nothing on the Orioles MLB site confirming this?

Thanks.

Don't know if it's a done deal yet but most likely is.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

MLBTR post states they are on the hook for the 9.5MM left on his contract
