Tyler Chatwood has walked more than 1/5 of the batters he has faced this season. That seems incredible for a starting pitcher.

If Perez or Arcia start tonight we'll have immovable object vs. unstoppable force.

We should go with an all patience lineup today. I would do Cain, Yelich, Braun, Shaw, Thames, Villar, Kratz, Sogard, P. The goal being to keep the Perez/Arcia/Pina type hitters from getting themselves out. It will probably be Pina instead of Kratz today, and if it's Arcia...someone should seriously glue the bat to his jersey so he can't swing. There's also a good chance Braun gets the day off after playing so many innings yesterday...leaving him available for the lefty tomorrow.

I suspect CC will do Villar, Yelich, Cain, Shaw, Thames, Santana, Pina, Sogard.

The Brewers have scored 11 runs in 9 games vs the Cubs.Saw that today and thought it must be a mistake.

We can talk about lots of other things but you just aren't going to win games if your offense can't score.

Bullpen isn't going to be perfect......Guys will fail to,make plays once in awhile....bottom line....our defense leads the majors in runs saved.....bullpen has been great......guys just have to start hitting against this team or nothing is going to change.

Tyler "Deadwood" has issues. He doesn't know where the pitch is going! Brewers just stand up there, and don't swing, and he will not last two innings.

What his strength is lately, is intimidation. Batters don't know where the pitch is going to be either!!! Advice to Brewer hitters. Just be ready fer DODGEBALL!!

So with the Brewers hitters he should have a complete game.

Statistically I would expect more BB by Chatwood than HR given up by Chase. I’d put $10 down on more HR given the Brewers spasmodic offense...

I'll try to eliminate 12 pages of posts.

1) Yes, there are a ton of Cubs fans at the game.

2) Yes, many are obnoxious.

3) No, there's nothing that can be done about it.

Carry on.

One thing that can be done about it is for the Brewers to start dominating this rivalry, if you can call it a rivalry right now.

is my guess.. think Braun is due for a rest.

How could you rest Braun who is hitting .400 against Chatwood?

C'mon mann. And if anyone isn't intimidated and KNOWS how to beat the Cubs, it is Ryan Braun. Let's not get dopey.

Cubbies go with the same lineup and expect their players to perform, even though some like Baez are awful against Anderson. Difference between winners and losers. It's called trust as opposed to sitting down your best hitters and best players and playing Lefty vs Righty games. That works against teams like the Mets, but only works against World Series caliber teams only in the movies. Sad.

We are making the exact same mistake every game this year. With only winning 1 out of 9 games against the Cubs, one would think that Counsell would put down the chart and just trust his best players. At any rate, give Aguilar some time off, he is swinging at ghost and fences only.

And if Sogard plays, that will show why some teams simply don't make it to the playoffs.

I didn't say it is what i would do. It is what i thought counsell would do. Flip 1 and 3 and i was correct..

Well it's Thames, Yelich, Cain, Shaw, Santana, Villar, and 2 guys that need the bat glued to their shoulder...Pina/Arcia. I don't hate the lineup, hopefully Pina and Arcia can get on base to some degree and give Thames some rbi opportunities.

I hear ya. Bummer that Braun is on the bench after hitting .400 against Chatwood and the club is in some sore need of Leadership. That said, Go Crew!

The Cubs have used 56 different lineups this year compared to 58 for the Brewers.

In 2017 the Cubs used 143 different lineups compared to 123 for the Brewers.

In 2016 the Cubs used 130 different lineups compared to 123 for the Brewers.

Does this include the same lineup being used with different starters? It seems crazy to me the Crew has only had 8 games this year with a lineup that wasn't completely unique.

And if this does count 1-8 being the same but with a different starter it's a different lineup I'm not sure it's comparing apples to apples.

Pretty sure BRef considers the same 8 batters hitting in a different order as a different lineup.

With pitchers included Brewers are at 64, 150, 148 the last three years compared to 60, 157 & 149 for the Cubs.
