Really hoping for a bounce back from Peralta today.

Dodgers are an interesting match up for him. Pretty much all of their guys walk a lot, but many of them strike out a lot too. Tons of power and a lot of it from the left side too.

Tough assignment for him.

Wondering if Counsell gives Aguilar a day off tonight or tomorrow (will want him in there against the lefties after that). Aguilar has been BABIP'd to death this month (.208 BABIP in July, .121 BABIP in his last 13 games), but maybe give him a day here, let Thames play 1B and Braun play LF, both of whom have looked pretty good lately.

My guess will be:

1. Thames 1B

2. Cain CF

3. Yelich RF

4. Braun LF

5. Shaw 2B

6. Moustakas 3B

7. Kratz C

8. Arcia SS

The timing of a Moustakas break out tonight would be amazing. A little sting left for some in not getting Machado... so having our new hired gun help beat the new favorites in the NL would be a great look.

Huge start for Peralta - just need 5 solid innings from him. If he’s an early exit, mop-up innings from the four back-end guys will be needed.

I think they have four lefties but at least 3 this week, would be a great time for a Braun break out and Jesus to snap out of it.

If they don't this could be a long series...

I agree, make sense to get Aguilar a day off tonight. Braun is swinging it a little bit and with a righty starter you'll want all of Shaw, Thames, Moustakas, and Yelich in the line up.

For some reason yelich feels wasted at the leadoff to me.
Remember what Yoda said:

This feels like a do we empty the farm for a starter or don’t we kind of start for Peralta.

Could actually be a showcase start for Peralta. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if he was part of a package for a veteran starter tomorrow.

This is one of the rare times when the fact that the Brewers are hitting the ball REALLY hard actually hurts. Can't get the runners home from second base.

They just need to stop clogging up those bases!
