We can’t really afford to lose this game. We used all our good relievers today. We are in big trouble tomorrow if we lose today...Game 2 is a must win for the Game 1 loser...and we empty the arsenal...in a loss if we lose.

And all of our good relievers will still be available to use tomorrow.

But yes I agree it would be extremely deflating to lose this.

This EXACTLY what I feared with Craig and his stupid bullpen day..it blew up on him, AND they have used all their best relievers, so who is available for tomorrow??

And another bullpen day tomorrow with Chacin on short rest.

Again, the only pitcher off limits is gonna be Woodruff. This is the playoffs. Every man up. The rest threw rest than 30 pitches.

RALLY CAPS LOCK!!

Let's see if our players try to work the count and hit the ball where its pitched or take massive swings to walk it off and strikeout?

Massive swings for 500, Alec.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Jeffress? The one who blew today? Hader? Went more than an inning, Knebel went two.

Would Counsell reall see it as a “must” win and use people in situations like that? Not convinced.

Chacin is gonna have to man up and go 5. They have Miley and Gio that can provide length. I hope Guerra doesn't have to go tonight, because he may be needed tomorrow or Sunday for 3-4 innings.

I’m not worried about he bullpen tomorrow. We are off on Saturday and this is the playoffs, you pitch guys until their arms fall off, they have all offseason to rest.

You can’t carelessly pitch them and have them tired. We know what tired Hader is like...he sucks. That is no better than not pitching.

so far, Yelich = work count, no surprise there

No way Chacin goes more than 4, hell, I'm thinking 3 and that is if he is on. Short resting a guy who has no history of being used on short rest is scary.

We haven’t really seen tired Hader since early in the season. He was fine then. We saw bad Hader but I didn’t think he was tired.

I may streak across this field if Braun goes yard.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I agree. But gotta work with what you have. Would be nice to have Anderson's length right about now, even with his HR propensity.
