Counsell going against his word of 4-5 inning for Woodruff. A lot of pitches and innings right here for a guy who isn’t used to it lately.

Well he is still within the number of pitches you would expect in a normal 5 inning outing.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Is there any recorded history of two double plays and a triple play in the same game? I'm getting prepped for Machado as a coping mechanism. This tension stuff is hard work.

Reminds me of the worst player in MLB history, Ron Wright. 1 game, 3 PA 6 outs: K, GIDP, GITP

Might have been a little overconfident in Woodruff there. Can't blame him, but they've relied on pulling guys before stuff like this happens, not waiting until it's too late. Still the offense's fault of course. The lack of another good LHP in the pen is a problem once again.

3rd time through the order, hmmm. I know due to last night they had to push it, but just another example whenever someone gets yanked even though they're going well

I turned on the Bucks game and put the Brewers on mute and it's much less stressful.

It’s no longer stressful. After yesterday and seeing the second inning today we know how this will end.

We continue to get beat on soft and weak contact . So frustrating.

Our pitching in this series has been nothing short of phenomenal...

The offense has been hot trash and even when the pitching has given something up it’s usually a single on a broken bat or weakly in the perfect spot. Such a bummer !

It's as shame that near perfect pitching isn't going to be good enough to win this series. The offense has just been brutal.
but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

I think you gotta give Cedeno a chance there. I know he's one of the worst pitchers on the staff, but Woodruff was tired and a lot of guys are unavailable and it's not like Cedeno has been trash (some lucky ground-ball hits if I recall correctly).

Woody pitched his guts out. Heck of a game.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
