2020-09-30 (NL Wild Card Series): Brewers (Suter) at Dodgers (Buehler) [Brewers lose, 4-2 -- Suter’s early struggles prove too much for offense to overcome; Yardley and Topa combine on solid effort out of bullpen]

Suter's quick pitches and junk ball stuff works against the absolute trash lineups the NL Central has. Not working against an actual good lineup, though.

A large part of the reason I didn't want Suter in there to start.

He needs to be pulled ASAP

Who exactly would you have started. Suter is better than Houser and Lindblom and those are pretty much the only other choices.

The guy you gave up Trent Grisham and Zach Davies for.

Despite the fact that Arcia outperformed him by every measure this year?

Either of them would have been better choices. Since Houser pitched that last game of the season, Lindblom is the best choice.

In what world is Lindblom a better choice than Suter.

I think Lindblom is about the worst choice possible to face this Dodgers lineup.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I think Suter was the best choice. It didn't work, but the guy's been great in short stints (and good in longer ones pre-surgery) for going on a year now. Plus, the Dodgers are worse against lefties. Didn't work. Happens.

Well Brent Suter (and Eric Yardley) have given up the same amount of runs that Max Scherzer did through the first 2 innings of last year’s NL Wild Card game, and that turned out okay for Scherzer’s squad.

If you told me Suter would face 13 batters I'd have thought much better than 1.2 IP. Only good thing is no false hope so I can keep my EDT bedtime.

Suter is fine. He just was terrible tonight. He was the choice given the situation. Is what it is as it’s more than likely it wouldn’t matter anyways. I’ll be shocked in we score more than 2 runs.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Very long way to go, and tomorrow is guaranteed.

Suter is a bullpen change of pace guy. When he's the guy you are ready for he doesn't have enough stuff. It's tough but I probably would have given Houser the shot. If he can put it together he could give you five. Not saying it's right but was not a fan of the Suter decision.

It could be worse in that we could be the Twins who lost their 18th straight playoff game.

Very true...... How does that even happen?

After tomorrow, this team won't see 18 playoff games in the next 20 years.

Announcers just said Brewers bullpen had the highest strikeout rate of any bullpen ever.... how do we not get these stats with Schroeder and Andersen.... or did I miss them saying this?
