18-124 to start the season for a great .145 team batting average. Just painful to watch. You don’t feel confidence in anyone at the plate.

I really don’t understand why we hire dudes that couldn’t hit to be HITTING coaches. Coles, Haines, I mean come on. When I heard Bonds was looking for a job, I was hoping we would look into it. Heck, any Hall of Famer that actually knows how to hit and what to do since they could do it themselves. How about Braun??

Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.

This is actually interesting. It seems to happen in baseball quite a bit. You would think a guy who was not a very good hitter or pitcher would have not a ton of credibility when it comes to teaching the art. It is something that I wonder about but maybe the guys who are good can't really explain why they were good??

Fair point, I’ve wondered that too. I would have way more faith in a dude that has done it, could make adjustments, and continued to have a good career instead of these nobodies.

Turns out a lot of really good hitters aren't good at teaching others to hit.

Ted Williams was a famously horrible coach, because he couldn't understand that people couldn't see and react the same way he did.

If Hiura can't hit field or throw what's he doing in the show?? Now if we cut Mckinney or somebody who can actually play later when they add a pitcher you will know they are not being serious about winning.

Whiffs down the middle. Fouls down the middle. DP groundout barely below middle outside. Bat him 7th already or option him. 0-14. Probably has had the most amount of down the middle pitches on the team. Reminds me of that 3b from Boston who was used on the Cubs for 9days or whatever amount to gain 1year on Bryant.

Why is Cain not playing again tonight? 2 days off in a row?

Screw Garcia, play Cain and Bradley the majority of the time.

Unless of course Cain is hurt, which wouldn't be that surprising either.

Hiura now .195 average with 103 Ks in his last 251 at bats. Another week (or less) of this, and he has to be sent down to the alternate site.

For who? The whole team isn't hitting.

Looked it up Mike Olt is who I'm referring to.

I don't think it matters. At some point you are doing more harm to yourself by struggling to the tune he is. He can't handle meatballs down the heart of the plate. Of course I would have like the Brewers to actually have a plan B at first and I'm not sure they have one. But I would give McKinney a mini-audition to see what he can do. Can't be worse than Keston.

I think a most obvious move would be Yelich to 1st. The other 3 OFs highly paid playing OF. Taylor called up.

You think the most obvious move is Yelich to 1B? A position he hasn’t played in how many years and that there has been not one indication of him playing this season? That’s the most obvious move?

Narvaez has been the bright spot.
