Smith had success with the Marlins prior to being included in the Starling Marte trade last season. Smith’s stats against the current Brewers hitters are solid, although both Avisail Garcia (2-for-5, HR) and Christian Yelich (3-for-6, 2 HR) have had success against him in a limited amount of at bats. Caleb Smith has only gone 5.0 IP once this year, and that was in his last appearance (he’s only started twice previously this season).
