Brett Anderson has dominated these Pirates hitters over 56 combined career plate appearances. He’s allowed just six hits including just one extra base hit and three walks. That’s a line of: .050 BA / .089 OBP / .059 SLG for an OPS against of .149.

 

Hopefully we see more of those type of results in Pittsburgh tonight.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Our last series against the Pirates this year, so it would be nice to capitalize. Big leads, low-stress innings from the staff and pen, and 2 or 3 more road wins would be the just the ticket.

Let's hope Mr. Anderson remembers to hydrate - leaving due to cramps in the middle of a gem was not ideal last time out.

This seems pretty suspect. This doesn't really go into the actual causes (usually overuse and dehydration) it just misinterprets a study into something it's not. I assume you meant this as a bit of a joke but I'm not honestly sure.

No trip to Pittsburgh would be complete without a rain delay or two. Tonight could continue that tradition with a severe thunderstorm watch in effect and heavy thunderstorms predicted for about 9 PM.

They’re putting the tarp on already, so there’s a good chance there will be no game tonight. Looks like there will be some strong storms with more rain behind them.

How do teams put up with this for more than half of their games? I can't bear the rain delays/rainouts on one road trip. Then again, I suppose it's further down the list of problems if you're a Pirates fan.

If they're willing to wait another hour they might get this in. Of course I would prefer a DH tomorrow as well.

 

Although it feels like Hader needs to get some regular work ASAP so maybe it's better if we can play some baseball tonight.
