Important win because I think Phillies could very well be the matchup in round one. Like most pretenders the bullpen is the soft spot on this team. Gotta let them know they don't have our number.

The question now has to be who is the number four in a seven game series. Lauer and Houser both have a stake. Good problem to have. Like Lauer for it right now.

Well if it’s against the Dodgers it’s worth remembering that they (the Dodgers) have struggled against LHP starters this year, and of course Lauer has a history of dominating the Dodgers himself.

I think about 3 innings from each may be the best approach, depending how things are going

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Blown save by the offense!

It will be interesting to see what Counsell does the last 3 innings if Lauer gets into any trouble.

Because Hader hasn’t been used since Wednesday and Williams since Thursday, he might want to use them with the off day coming up on Thursday even if the lead is more than 3 runs.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Gotta love where this rotation is for the next few years with Woodruff, Burnes, Peralta, Houser, Lauer, Ashby and Small. Seven deep in high-end, inexpensive arms. This is a whole new experience as a Brewer fan.

It sure is nice not having to continue reading the posts about the Brewers and Stearns "definitely" losing that deal with the Padres. Total lesson in not making quick, broad assumptions, especially on a trade involving young MLB players.

Woodruff, Burnes, Peralta, Houser, Lauer, Boxberger, Williams and Hader. Just pitch these guys in the playoffs unless it is a blowout.

I think Suter is going to work some bridge innings in the playoffs too. Not sure he should but I think he makes the cut for a role.

You can go a six man rotation with the big three plus Ashby lauer and houser

I don’t care what the lineup looks like

Feel like Strickland deserves to be used as well.

Quite possible but I wonder how using your starters for 3 innings each would look like so you don't have to face most hitters twice.

There will be no lesson learned by most unfortunately. It’s just how it works. It stinks sometimes because being a passionate fan makes us have some really terrible takes some times. But yes, the trade looks great for us as well as the plethora of arms we seem to have developed. Whatever lab we have in Arizona is sure something.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Way to go Eric!

I think they might let Williams and Hader finish thus one. They haven’t pitched in awhile and would still be available tomorrow before the off day.
