I’m convinced we are going to lose the division to the Cards.

:laughing Agreed.

On a serious note, I'm terrified they knock us out.

I agree. I don't understand the flippant attitude people have toward the Cardinals. They're the last team I want to see in the playoffs.

On a good note that would likely be in the NLCS.

Really?

You realize if we beat them only once in the 7 games we play them they would have to win out and we would have to lose out for them to tie us right?

Let me be irrational!

Count me in that group as well. Especially when you consider the level they would be playing at as well. Add in their voodoo…I might have to be sedated for that series

There we go boys! sure would

Be great if JBJ could

Do anything, ever. A sub .500

OPS should void your contract

I just hope that if the Brewers are going to lose 6 out of 7 to the Cards (like the 2011 Brewers lost 5 of 6 to the eventual World Series winners in September) that the one win comes this week. I don’t even want to think about not having the division wrapped up before the Cardinals-Dodgers road trip.

At least these Cardinals don’t have Rafael (Babe) Furcal to torment us in September.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Sustaining a sub .500 OPS for a full season as a full time player is almost unfathomable.

The crazy thing is he only needs a .550 OPS or so to be a zero WAR player. He can't even manage that!

I guess count me in the group that isn’t ready to soil themselves over fear of the Cardinals. Aside from Adam Wainwright, Yadi Molina, and the laundry, this Cardinals team bears no resemblance to the one from 2011. History isn’t likely to repeat itself, if it was on the table I’ll gladly accept a guaranteed NLCS matchup with the Cardinals right now. The Dodgers are so far superior to even the version of this Cardinals squad that gets Jack Flaherty back. That’s the team we should be worried about facing in the playoffs, IMO.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

The Brewers have given Bradley and Hiura a combined 587 abs this year with a combined 160 batting average. 587!! This team could win 100 games despite giving away a season worth of abs.

We knew back in March that the Cardinals had the talent to win the NL Central and they might have done so if the Brewers didn't transform into a 95+ win team. It shouldn't be a surprise that they are where they are right now...except for the fact that they basically mailed it in at the trade deadline and accepted that SD/CIN was going to get that WC2 spot.

I wouldn't want to see Wainwright twice in a best-of-5 divisional series, but the Brewers certainly would be heavily favored vs. the Cards in the NLCS.
