That's an excellent signing for a veteran reliever.  Year to year it's hard to know what you are getting, but for $2.5M that's a great risk/reward.

I didn't get a lot of the hate the guy got last year.  He's not a dominant guy, but he was solid, and on top of that, he was just very reliable all year long.  Happy to have him back at this price tag.

A solid reliever with a lot of late-inning experience is good to have, and he was good for us last year. And considering that Ottavino got 1/$4m and Familia 1/$6m today, $2.5m with a team option is a steal.

Love to see a Box of Burgers. Just a solid all around reliever. He was absolutely crucial in various roles last year. I approve of this signing.
