That may be you. But I'm a fan who would always rather have his favorite team in the postseason. Quite a few games this season where we were essentially in control and let it slip away, including several this past weekend. That will likely prove to be the difference.

I wanted them in the postseason too, but when they play below .500 for the last 5 months of the season it’s easy to accept that they didn’t deserve it. Sure, they blew a number of games they could have/should have won, but so did the Padres and Phillies.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Does Omar even get a multi year offer from another team? I would give him a 1 year 3 million deal to re-establish value.  What an absolutely abysmal 1.5 years for him

Brewers also lead the league in blown late-inning leads since August...Don't get me wrong they don't deserve it because they didn't do enough, but they were still so close despite everything.

Good move to pull Lauer even with the no hitter. Gotta save him for the playoffs.

Or at 100 pitches they may not want to get him injured for next year considering he got off the IL not too long ago and was never stretched back out.

Brosseau has a .344 OBP and a 0.762 OPS and I can't remember a game he actually got a hit or walk.  Every game I remember is an 0 for like tonight.

Not too mention he struck out in like 4 situations this weekend where contact would have scored runs and/or won us the game.

If Cousins could cut down on his walks he'd be an excellent 7th inning man.  I don't know if he'd take to being closer, but he has the talent, just lacks a little control.

I wouldn't even give him an offer. He basically offers nothing outside of framing at this point and the Brewers have done a good job improving catcher's framing (just look at Narvaez who was a terrible framer when we traded for him). He's got awful poptime to 2B. He's been awful at the plate and his underlying numbers are horrible. 18% hard hit rate which is 2nd worst in the MLB among hitters with 200 batted ball events.

You're right. Since the turn of the century, pitcher's arms fall off after 100 pitches.

He only has batted 6 times in Oct and 12 times in Sept (when he hit .417)

Again, just got off the IL and was never stretched out. Max # of pitches since then was his last start at 71. And you want him going the 140 pitches or so it would have required for him to even think about finishing the no-hitter? Please.

Well with those numbers why would he be able to help the Brewers when they have so many better options.

Lauer is less than 4 weeks removed from being taken out of a start and put on the IL due to his arm/elbow feeling like jello. What's the point of letting him pitch the 7th inning when he had zero chance of actually finishing the game?
