This is mostly correct, but the MKE Tailgate guys have pointed out in years past that K/BB rates in spring often carry over and can be a sign of a breakout or the opposite

True, there are underlying stats that can sometimes display a breakout but they’re usually on the pitching side and don’t happen in the first couple of weeks of ST.

2 games. 2 SBs by Wiemer and 2 SB attempts by Frelick(1 successful other I'd have replayed it)  games are going to be so much more active with the trio of OFs on the basebaths on top of at the plate. Wiemer had an 8pitch AB for a single I believe before the SB.

Turang with a RISP single and RBI.

Yeah that Frelick one was interesting, particularly because if he'd gone hands first he'd have made it no question, the speed is quality but Wiemer is impressing me. I think he hasn't struck out yet which is a huge thing for him, he seems like he really really tightens up from a wild hack to a more polished approach on two strikes

I’m assuming that even though he’s not on the roster or an NRI that we’ll see Chourio in a spring game considering Herbert Pérez, Blavk, etc. played today?

Could take our bullpen to a whole new level if the control gains he showed in the AFL are for real.

Devin Williams, Uribe, Strzelecki, and Cousins as a new generation of Nasty Boys?

Yep. Funny thing is the fastball, which is 70/80, isn't even Uribe's best pitch.

Other interesting members of the "I dont K" club

William Contreras (though a few too many grounders so far)

Sal Frelick

Brice Turang

On the other side of the faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar too early stats

Adames has struck out 3 times in 6 AB's, and Keston is where he left off with a 40% K Rate

IF this is the player Mitchell is, my god we will have the best young OF in MLB.

Chourio in LF, Mitchell in CF, Wiemer in RF

And if again this is the Mitchell we're getting... Frelick is traded for best offer.

Good to see all the young guys mashing...but you know CC is going to play the Vets over them and make us all mad in a couple months right? :)

I think you are getting Ken Macha confused with CC.  There really hasn't been a younger player who hasn't played when deserving to be played under CC.

I feel like ST says more about pitchers than hitters. So if a guy has lost/gained a few ticks on his fastball or has flashed a new pitch that seems to work....that kind of thing.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006
