I have doubts this is true but hilarious if it is:

It'd be funnier if Drake Maye said the same!

They're so close to figuring it out. New OC who can run the offense.

Get a LT. I know they think Braxton Jones is the guy, but he's not. Wright is a good start at RT.

DJ Moore is a helluva WR. Kmet is a good TE.

They won't though. They'll hedge and go defense and their...** Checks notes...entire history of their franchise of not having a QB to throw for 30TDs will continue!

Probably because he doesn't want to share ownership with Jordan Love.

The strategy worked for Eli Manning and Kobe Bryant. Guessing Chicago will just go ahead and pick Maye #1 and get one over on Washington by just not saying a word to Williams and he stays at USC because of it.

Peacock forked over 110 million to get the exclusive rights (minus local markets) for tonight's game. I don't know if it's a consensus or just a vocal minority but plenty of people are unhappy about it. Another example of either missing out, paying a good chunk of money for 3 hours, or finding alternative methods.

I could go on a large rant about this, but that's probably better served for the what's bugging you thread.

I can't imagine that Peacock is going to recover their money from this.

There is some stuff out there on Williams' game tape that should be concerning to NFL teams at the next level - his primary flaw is being a bit out of sync and not pulling the trigger on short to intermediate routes within the design of a play, even when it's his primary read and he's looking right at a gimme completion.

His natural talent and ability to make plays all over the field with his arm talent is legit - but if there's issues with making reads within the framework of the offensive scheme in college that's a red flag to me that could limit his ceiling at the pro level.

Perhaps the novelty of watching a game played in conditions that are inhospitable to penguins tonight will get Peacock over the hump....

Apparently ESPN will be part of the NFL.

https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-reportedly-in-advanced-talks-with-espn-to-buy-stake-in-sports-network-011850735.html

So lets just make it official and just rename ESPN to the NFL Network as that is what it will be other than for college basketball/football and some NBA games.  Get ready for 99% NFL on Sports Center which is just a slight increase from 95%.  The other 0.9% of Sports Center will be NBA and everyone else gets .01% time.

Good. We can just eliminate the fig leaf of objectivity now.  Let’s at least be honest and clear about what is being offered for public consumption in our media.

I only hope this means espn can get the Thursday night games so they aren't locked behind a streaming subscription.

Remember what Yoda said:

My brother lives in Jacksonville.  I knew they were due up in the rotation, but I thought the NFL had tweaked the scheduling formula.  My wife has a week in Orlando on her short list of vacation spots.

After the weekends results a Packers Texans Sunday Night matchup is very much in the cards.

The Buffalo/Steelers game is starting to mirror the Packer game

yep...but it's the home team doing the curb-stomping to a team that doesn't look interested in being there.  no TJ Watt means they had no shot

Man what happened to the Eagles? Did they have a bunch of injuries down the stretch or something? Or did the team just quit?

They were in the SB last year, and had a great draft everyone said at the time. What happened wow.

Lost two of their best defenders in Javon Hargrave (11 sacks in 2022) and TJ Edwards (159 tackles in 2022) and Brandon Graham started showing his age (11 sacks in 2022, 3 in 2023).  Eagles had 70 sacks in 2022 vs 43 in 2023.  Hurts threw nine more INTs in 2023 than 2022 and only one more TD.

The Eagles problems go beyond injuries. I’d bet my next paycheck there’s some dysfunction going on behind closed doors. If I was Jason Kielce I’d retire too.

The excuse I kept hearing was they lost all their good coordinators in the offseason and the new ones weren't near as good.

guys on the eagles were running into each other on routes last night. There is a lot wrong with that team right now. The d-backs didn't look like they even wanted to be playing football last night

Savage has had a solid season this year.  I don't think he was quite back to his first couple years (not INT wise at least), but the secondary with him and without him were very different.  Seems like his communication skills back there keeping people assignment sure is a bit unheralded.

I'm conflicted if I think he should return or not.  Certainly would keep the "floor" of our safety play solid.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Watching playoff games and the last few weeks of the regular season I seem to be seeing a lot more defensive players getting hurt making a tackle than I ever remember seeing before. Anyone else notice this or am I just seeing things? Are all the rules about how and where to tackle ballcarriers putting defensive players bodies in weird positions where they are now the ones getting hurt?

Chargers hired that head coach from Michigan.

I sign stealing easier in the NFL?

Logged into Twitter to peruse any possible Packers D-Coordinator news. Somehow wound up in a Taylor Swift AI  post. Didn't see that coming from all the hoopla!😅
