Brewers (Burnes) vs Mariners (Flexen): 4/17/23, 8:40pm

Man we got Cy Flexen today. 0 walks. Think it's only been...well as I'm writing he walks Contreras.

3 ball 3 PAs prior not a ball 4 pitch thrown after it always in zone.

Yelich has had high exit velocity tonight. 113.5, 98.3, 103.6. If only he could find them at 9-11 degree launch angles.

Hard not to love the early returns on Contreras. What a wonderful AB that was.

Early returns on Brian Anderson haven't been bad, either.

People are ripping Trent Grisham for watching a Devin Williams fastball go down the middle last night, but that doesn't take into account how hard it is to do with Williams' changeup also a possibility.

That's tough. But like I said yesterday. The overlays between a change up and fastball with where they end up is incredible. You're guessing. He guessed changeup. Because wouldn't that make sense on weak contact vs HR potential? Plus swinging lower.

Weird...seems to be on the left side, which can't be too bad.  Still, enough with the injuries to starting pitching...

Burnes didn’t look too upset. Seems precautionary.

In the dugout he was grabbing his pectoral muscle area.  Looks to be in some discomfort.

With all these Starters going down, the Brewers are starting to look like they'll need to go the Sounds route of essentially all bullpen arms. 😅

UGH.

Hopefully not too serious with the left side being effected? But what do I know.

April 17- Burnes, Woodruff, Houser, Ashby…. and really plenty of others.

1 more away from somebody winning on their bingo card.  Lauer or Peralta.

The thing is, Gasser isn't ready for the call-up. He hasn't demonstrated an ability to control the zone or his stuff. Our best options are bullpen arms. We have a plethora to choose from. We're paper thin in the Starting Pitcher category. Thankfully, Houser has one rehab outing under his belt.
