What a statement series! Brewers are the division favorites, no doubt.

We’ve got the pitching. We’ve got the defense. Now, work that Contreras trade magic Arnold and get us some hitting.

The sooner the better … these next 15 days are quite important - Phils, Braves, Reds … we need offense now - before the trade deadline

I’d have someone pinch hit for Winker in the 8th here.

Then again maybe not...  😉

This is even sweeter because all the baseball media talking heads have been gushing endlessly about those awesome exciting unstoppable Reds.  I guess we dumped a keg of beer on the fire (after drinking said beer and then.... well, you get it.) <end of gloating; beat the Phils!>

The Brewers put out a line up today where about 5 or 6 of the 9 hitters are below average. A few quite well below average (Winker, Turang) .

Imagine this line up with if Yelich wasn’t back.

Unreal job by the pitching and defense to sweep a team they were chasing a week ago. Statement made.

Miller is much better defensively at 1B than I realized

He’s gotten better with more work over there.

Ps Yelich error changed to a double……that didn’t take long.

It was a play that should be an error, but not with the MLB's standard for OFer getting errors. Not at all surprised it was changed that quickly. Especially embarrassing after that Steer play was ruled a "single" by the Reds scorekeeper.

Will the media reduce their love for the Reds? Headline on MLB app is EDLC’s infield assist:

well, that's a bit more exciting than his 0-12, 5K, 0BB series right after the AS Break to drop his BA back below 0.300.

Given the height, it seems like that should've been caught easy.  Hard to say what the wind was really doing... or just the LFer.

Ruled a hit. As it should have been, wind swirling, tough play.

Was this headline after the game? I'm just asking; I've also had enough of the recent spate of ellygasms by baseball media.

Ummm. Never mind. I just saw it.  His team got swept and he went O-for-whatever. But he made a hard throw?!?!?!?  Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle!

Live in the present. Lots of eliteness on this roster. Team coming out smoking hot.

6 runs in 3 days is not smoking hot as far as the "team" goes, but the pitching has surely been smoking hot!

I'm ok with it.  I feel like when they start to hype the Brewers or a particular player it turns out to be a curse.  Kind of like talking about how great a FG kicker has been before he tries an important kick.

So let em go ahead and hype Elly.  Wow what a great throw he made.  Great game there, champ!

For all the attention that guy gets, he's gonna be hitting .220 by the end of the year if he doen't improve that K/BB ratio.

To be fair, Elly is a super exciting player. We would be very happy to have him on our team.

This is true..... for at least a month, unless he crashes down from orbit. 😶🙂

He is, and we would. It's just hilarious to watch the national media stumble onto the latest shiny thing, react to it, create an agenda, then cling onto it for dear life.

I actually tried watching some of the Sunday night game tonight, but had to give up when it was overlaid by three hours of Ohtanitalk. Shades of Duke & Zion Williamson.
