Arnold needs to make sure he has the best guys on the roster to be eligible for postseason. You can't be heading into the playoffs with dead weight. I expect some transactions.

Lousy to lose that game 1-0 while missing multiple opportunities to score runs and a chance to put a fairly strong grip on the division race. The team isn’t dependent upon the long ball to score, but didn’t cash in. Couple that with the wind killing several potential home runs/extra-base hits. Guess you just chalk it up to one of those sucky “It’s Baseball” losses.

Story of the night. 0 for in three opportunities with RISP and then 3 HRs taken away by the wind.

Box score has them 0 for 5 with RISP.

10-game winning streaks are hard.

Though they’re a lot easier once you win 9. 😀

I had a bad feeling about this game when I saw a feature on the local news talking about the Brewers being 3 wins away from triggering free burgers from George Webb.

Not liking the matchup tomorrow  with Hendriks, who tends to shut down the Brewers at Wrigley anyway, pitching with the wind blowing in.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Burnes has won his last two starts giving up 5 and 6 runs.

Lost two giving up 0 and 1.

Woodruff>Hendricks.

Steele did tonight, with the slider, what he's done to a lot of people. I really didn't see many location mistakes or wildness from any of the guys they rolled out, and taking that into consideration I didn't think our ABs were all that bad--not get-shutout bad, anyway. Seven hits agin some pretty good pitching, just not the famous "next hit". Adames put up a great AB in the first, went for naught. Three well-struck balls in the last 2 innings. Gomes made a huge play on the steal attempt.

Guessing there's railing on here about Wiemer starting over Frelick. If so, I agree. But to take it a step further, if Wiemer plays there's no way he should be hitting sixth.

Good to see Uribes' work tonite after the clownshow over the weekend. Focus all da time, young 'un.

It's too bad you have to hit at a certain stat level to be considered for a GG.

On to the hurricane reports.

We got lucky this time.  Just some wind and a lot of rain.  The forecast is getting terrible for the big bend in FL.  They now say it will be a category 4 at landfall tomorrow.  :-(

The matchup I don’t like is Hendricks vs the Brewers hitters.

I’ve seen him baffle the Brewers enough times to be concerned about him, especially if he doesn’t have to worry about gopher balls.

His mechanics are whack

I don’t recall any Brewers batter with so much unnecessary movement

What former Milwaukee players had abnormal movement while batting?

Ricky Weeks and the loser Sheffield come to mind !

Agreed … both had a wiggle to their bats 🙌🏼 … & much better results too as I recall

Hopefully - with some offseason coaching - Wiemer makes adjustments to still his batting approach

I would also be okay with an offseason trade if the return was adequate
