Jordan love is going to be just fine

That's what I'm seeing.

I already knew we'd struggle, I just wanted to see how Love rebounded from it.

The next step for Love is to find a way to start games better. He doesn't get going until the 2nd half.

The lows will always be there with a 1st year starter, but the highs show you what he CAN be.

They keep an exact clock on the field, so it can show 0:00 and still have .5 left on it.

I didn't watch that close to see if it was obvious or not.

Oh it was definitely, obviously expired.

It think the team needs to start the game with a halftime speech.

Eh, Love still have to make the throw.

BTW, Quay Walker is having a helluva game irrespective of how anyone else is playing. Losing Jaire hurts, but...Quay is playing VERY well in space.

The Lions could dominate this division for the next 4 or 5 years.

In the last five years the Lions have had:

  • Two top-3 picks (Packers - zero)
  • Four top-10 picks (Packers - zero)
  • Seven top-18 picks (Packers - two)
  • Six 2nd round picks (all in the top half of the 2nd round - total of 13 top-46 picks)
  • Eight 3rd round picks

Give the Packers those picks and they'd be just as good as the Lions.

I saw nothing...

I hope he can, but he looked bad in year 2, and he hasn’t really proven anything yet as far as I’m concerned.

They also tried playing him in off coverage a ton early, which isn't his strength at all.

Back to the game, looks like Detroit is going to funnel everything through their backs and just suck the life out of the 4th quarter.

Need a stop right here, and wouldn't surprise me if the lions went for it on 4th

Depends on how those picks are used.

This year doesn’t really matter as far as wins and losses.  Just show you have the ability and progress throughout the year.  That’s all I truly care about.

This is the only flaw in your argument.

Anyone can look bad in a Joe Barry defense

That was the whole issue with Barry. They played soft zone with Jaire and Stokes.

But Stokes DID struggle year 2.

I knew they were gonna run that

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

It isn't like Douglas is a bad CB either... Stokes does have to re-"win" the starting spot.
