That’s not what you said though. You said you hope the playoffs aren’t going to be a showcase for his idiotic managing decisions. I don’t think we have to worry about being out managed in the postseason. CC will make mistakes because nobody is perfect, but he is no idiot. He’s the best manager in baseball.

I agree with this for the most part but when he makes moves that leave us scratching our heads saying so is fair and part of the fun. I hope he sticks around.

You’re just mad that your prediction of 90-72 is wrong.    Hahaha

Who has tie breaker between marlins and d backs.   I could see Arizona losing a lot of games this weekend

Yeah there’s a fairly good chance we end up playing the Diamondbacks next week. Not sure who holds the tiebreaker though.

Heck the reds are back in it.    The cubs are in all likelihood done.   That’s crazy.

D-Backs. They have the tiebreaker over the other WC contenders.

Miami is 4-2 vs Arizona so they hold the tiebreaker there.

DBacks only have the tiebreaker over the Cubs, due to their 6-1 head to head advantage.

Lauer starting tomorrow. No corresponding move announced (that I know of).

It's such a privilege to watch a moment that you know the guy involved will never forget for the rest of his life. Fantastic.

I hope we are the stake in the heart tomorrow.

If I’m correct.    No matter what happens rhe rest of the weekend, if the marlins close that suspended game the cubs are done

Except vs the Cubs, who they are 6-1 against head to head.

Correct.   I wasn’t even counting them.   They are pretty much done even for the hardcore fan

My bad - misread it.

Cubs have the same record as the Reds and are playing against a team you literally said was trying to lose on purpose a few pages back.

There’s still a mathematical chance CHI ends up tied with ARI, so might as well include them in the discussion until that chance actually reaches zero.

Yep.  The brewers were spring training the heck out of that game.   Guys that would have three numbers on their jersey in podunk Arizona.     And the cubs still lost.

The Cubs’ playoff odds have fallen to 4%. An incredible collapse.

That feels way too high. They need the Marlins to lose their final 2 games and then lose the 9th inning Monday game to the Mets that they are winning 2-1 and the Cubs would need to win their final 2 games. Magic number of 5 with 2 games left does not feel like 4% odds.

I agree.   I saw that too.   It should basically be zero.   I mean one of the games is already in the ninth the team has the lead.

Plus even if all that happens the reds could win twice and the cubs are done too

But like two weeks ago this was supposed to be the Brewers.  I was told the Brewers would be eliminated with the Cubs running away with the division.
