No we're not. Unless Ortiz, Black, Misiorowski, or Quero (rising from the dead) win ROY.

Oliver Dunn can get it...accomplished.

He's played 3 games this year. Lets...give him a little time.

Ok, but I refuse to do the same for Bauers.

A walk and a blooper in that inning……

Not quite that simple, very little swing and miss that inning. Also a two of his outs were hard hit balls. Clearly the Brewers don't have confidence in him going deep in games, especially after that last inning, as he's getting pulled at 47 pitches.

And why can't get get it for Chourio?

And how would any of those qualify? They weren't on the opening day roster.

They can still qualify if they get called up within like the next week. It's not OD roster.

Chourio is ineligible since he signed the extension.

I forgot about the scratchy shoulder issue, the 47 pitches makes more sense considering that.  Probably wise to ramp him up slowly especially with the early off days for the pen to rest.

He signed an extension nefore debuting. You just have to PPI eligible and acrue 172 days in your rookie campaign to be eligible for the pick. (Season is 183 days)

I'm just seeing Cooper's article. Is this confirmed beyond just him saying it? You have to accrue 172 days in your rookie campaign. He can and will do that.

Top 100, done.

Rookie Eligible with less than 60 days of service time.

All those fit.

That doesn't make sense. I know Ortiz isn't eligible any longer, but if that is true, it's exactly the opposite impact it was meant to have. You want to promote prospects...just don't sign them?

Ortiz can't...unless they've recently changed that as well.

I see the Brewers broke out their new parking system akin to a crypto Airdrop - i.e. quagmire. Amazing to have all off-season and then on the roll out their Parking partner's Server is down. Never fails. 😅

I don’t get it with Bauers, doesn’t really give them good at bats, hasn’t been good in his career. Can’t believe he’s still surviving on prospect hype.

I don't disagree at all, but I think it helps that he's supposedly a good defender, has power, and some guys do figure it out late. He's probably like, a -1.0 WAR player in a full season would be my guess.

He's had 1400 career PAs, he's bad, the prospect hype should be long gone by now.

If he's on a roster he should be one of your last bench bats and not starting more than once a week.

If you project to be a negative WAR player, shouldn't that pretty much mean, by the very definition of WAR, that you aren't worthy of a roster spot?

Part of it might be besides Hoskins who do they have with some experience at first base? I don’t think they call up Black to play a couple times a week.

Was Elvis throwing 97 last year?

I was wondering the same. He was sitting 97-98 mph on that sinker that second inning. Ridiculous movement.

I guess my point was that he's performed at about that level to this point, any team giving him a chance is doing so based on his upside...thinking he can get better.
