Jansen Junk, McKendry, the  start calling around to see what depth people are in AAA which they could get by offering a major-league deal.

With three healthy pitchers at this point, they’re gonna need people just to give them 4 innings a game.  The minor-league shuttle system is going to get burned out.

I'm going to start getting stretched out.  Feels like at this point it's just a matter of time

26 - Ashby (up for 1 day)
27 - Rea
28 - Ross
29 - Myers
30 - Wilson

2 - Off Day

Yuck. Wilson being a SP when he's not done 4 up downs and has maxed out at 62 pitches this year is not great.

Yeah. I’m more horrified by the possibility of throwing Ashby out there again - that’d be Game 1 at home against the Yankees. Junk or Ashby? Or Rea throwing 5 days since his last start, but that would still mean Junk or Ashby (or Blalock I guess; Chad Patrick wild card?) in Game 2.

We unearthed Julio Teheran last season. May have to pull off a similar magic act.

Maybe LHP Eric Lauer (2.37 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 10.4 K/9 in 19 AAA IP, with 22 Ks, 7 BB) has an opt-out with the Pirates?

I was about to summon Misiorowski but then looked at his stats to start the year... what is going on with the walks? 11 through 10.1 innings? Only 6 hits and 15 k's... so no one is hitting him but his ERA is inflated.

Not likely an option until he improves the command. It was a big issue last year too

The same guy I thought would look really good in the middle of this rotation over the winter would look even better right now with how much the rotation resembles a mash unit that desperately needs another innings eater, and he could be signed for league minimum.

He also K'd 14 in 6 no hit IP yesterday.

Not exactly shocking that the Brewers are facing starting pitching problems when they came into the season with injury prone (and already injured before the season started) Wade Miley as their number two starter.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Just say it!  We won't bite well, actually, some here will...

I agree by the way.  Talk about a guy who would help us right away, I mean like right now, and dirt cheap.

Yeah, I don't believe anyone is surprised to be honest.

Always figured we were going to get 15-20 starts from Miley.  Would assume Arnold did as well.

But I hope it rains in Pittsburgh.

I'm really bummed about the injury/performance issues with Miley, Junis, Hall, Gasser, Misiorowski, et.al,

(Mostly because it gives credence to all the naysayers that said the Brewers did nothing of significance in the offseason to address their rotation, and that had they only signed Cy what'shisname, or traded for so-and-so younghurler, that all of these issues could have been avoided).
