Does Frelick go down when Mitchell is ready? Do they let Mitchell play for a while in Nashville? Do we lose Monasterio and finally see Sal at third? Doesn't really feel like there's an easy, clear choice.

That was an excellent catch by Greene but the ball was high enough off the ground and close enough to him that it’s the kind of catch that you almost expect from major league outfielders these days.
 

It sure helped him on that play to be left handed instead of having to reach across his body and catch it backhanded.

Really hope Murphy doesn't go back to sitting Chourio against the RHP tomorrow. I think if you played him 5/6 games at least this coming week you would get some good results.

The easiest choice is Frelick at third. That should be a complete non starter. Ortiz should be there virtually every day. Playing someone who isn’t much of a hitter and probably won’t be good defensively at 3B is a waste.

In 633 career ABs versus lefties he has a .888 OPS against.

In 775 career ABs versus righties he has a .709 OPS against.

Also 74 walks vs lefties and 47 vs righties

Welp, third time through hurts Wilson. Hope they can battle back, but a 2-4 road trip isn't the end of the world.

Big homestand coming up. Get an off day between the Jays and the surging Reds.

Part of the reason Wilson's performed well ERA wise as a SP is because he's been insanely protected with openers and taking him out 3rd time through most times. If we weren't losing 2-0 against Skubal, Wilson would have been pulled today before facing Greene a 3rd time and we likely get out of the inning only giving up at most a run. You ask him to face 3rd time through like today and it's going to be ugly like today.
