And how do you arrive at that conclusion from my original point?

My point was he is being rested for the Dodgers.

He's 20 years old and has had more off days than every primary starter, with the all-star break coming up in less than two weeks....Keep in mind, this is also the same team that refuses to give Adames and Contreras days off.

Unless he is suffering after effects from those collisions, he should be in the lineup as the team's hottest hitter and one of its best fielders against a favorable pitcher.

This forum is so much better when you post frequently … especially when you are cantankerous

Where have you been this season?

It seems you post far less often than previous seasons

Don't fall for it, just scroll on by, it will save you some hand wringing...

Unfortunate that the Rockies had the most pitchout non-pitchout to snag Turang so we didn't get a 2-run dinger from Yeli there.

How long until yelich is eligible to be the batting average leader in the nl

He was 8 PA shy of qualifying come into today so probably about a week of playing every day and he will become a qualified hitter.

Seven more ABs.

To be precise he was 8 PAs short coming into this game.

The requirement is 3.1 PAs per game played by your team, so the required number goes up every game the Brewers play.

Yelich could make that up in about 6 games if he played every day and got 4 or 5 PAs every day. If he rests a day it would take him a couple more days to get there.
