Nick Lodolo had a rough July, allowing 20 ER in 27 IP over five starts. Most of the damage came against CHC allowing 8 ER.

We have not faced Lodolo this year. We faced him three times in 2022, though. 2.89 career ERA against Milwaukee. Three starts, 18.2 IP and 21 K.

Another tough lefty.

Eighteen games over .500 and an eight game division lead are both season highs.

A win today would give the Brewers their first six game winning streak of the year.

I still think we will lose the lead by the end of the dodgers series. 😀😀

It sure would be nice to have the number one or number two playoff spot, instead of the number three.

Kinda crazy how close they’ve gotten.

Only a half game back of the Dodgers for #2, depending how today’s games go we could be defending that spot instead of chasing it when the Dodgers roll in tomorrow.

Only 1.5 back from the Phillies now for the top seed too. Last time the Brewers were seventeen over .500 on July 3rd they were 5.5 games back of PHI.

Since then the Phillies 12 W - 19 L is the worst record by an actual MLB team.

Weird scheduling quirk with cubs and cards both off

Disappointing … I spend equal amounts of energy rooting FOR Milwaukee & AGAINST the Cards & Cubs

There it is … Hoby is “injured” … I hope he gets right & provides help at some point in the future, but he was the obvious choice to be put on the IL or DFA’d

The top AL teams are bunched together too

Baltimore has the best record in MLB at 70-48 … Milwaukee is 5th at 67-49 … that is tight at the top

This is as close to anyone admitting that he isn’t all that hurt…..lol

"Recovery plan" amounting to rubbing some dirt on it.

It's nice to be able to keep him away from Counsell, which is probably what would've happened

Let's score 8+ runs again.  I miss that.

There’s nothing like my daughters and me attending a game on our 10 pack to silence the Brewers offense.

We got that out of the way last night so the Brewers should be good to go today.

Brewers /Milner conversation:

Hoby, we need a roster spot and would like to option you to AAA. No, you don't accept.  How about a 15 day vacation?

A shoulder impingement is a delicate way of saying rotator cuff.  If true he is done, if not true he is done also because he will need a rehab assignment.

The Phillies troubles seemed to start when Harper, Schwarber, and Realmuto all went on the IL.

Those guys are back but the team hasn’t found its form from the first 2-3 months.

They had pretty much no injuries the first 10 weeks of the season.

This was all pretty predictable.
