Good to get that one in the bank after burning out the bullpen.

Biggest thing I'll take even before the win is that Chourio looks to be OK. Wouldn't shock me if he got the night off regardless as he's currently in the middle of his longest consecutive GP stretch of his career.

That was a nice W to snag, just enough luck and skill to do the trick. Not sure what the Reds were thinking allowing a run to score with Williams coming in to pitch, but the gift is appreciated.

A win! Good job. Now a 7 inning no hitter for Hall so we can rest the bullpen.

Who's going to pitch the other 2?

I would think Devin is down for tonight's game but with Murphy you never know.

I'm sure he is done.

Even the cubs aren’t really thinking about catching us but after that BS comeback we have played three games and won them all before they played another game

hahahahahahah

It feels like the Brewers have reigned in Turang on stealing bases and it is just confusing me on why.  Turang is the best base stealing player on the team.  I can’t even remember the last time Turang tried to steal a base.

Last Tuesday and he was thrown out by a lot by Contreras.

That is his only time he has been caught stealing in the 2nd half of the season

Not sure if attempts are kept track of but it felt like Turang was running more in the first half than he has been running in the second half.  That maybe because of his lower OBP compared to the first half but it seems as though even when he is getting on base he is staying put more than he is running.  This might be because he is at the top of the order and the team is afraid of "running into outs" at the top of the order.  But Turang has been really successful at stealing bases so I don't believe that should even be a concern.  The one caught stealing in the second half is telling me he is not attempting enough and needs to be trying to steal more.

Well managed game, really like putting the closer in the 10th in a tie game.  With a ghost runner on 2nd in extras it's better to use your best reliever then instead of the 9th.

I agree with you.  Most teams burn their closer in the 9th thinking if we fail here, there is no 10th inning.  Sure helps that we essentially have two closers.

Which is somewhat interesting how the thinking has switched.  Not too long ago every team would save the closer until they had a lead in extras when on the road.

He still might be.

Anyone who has rolled an ankle knows that it will feel worse later.

Even if he makes it to the end of this game I assume he will be out tonight and then see how it is tomorrow.

All depends on how badly it swells on him.  After no longer moving on it for awhile.  If he’s at least able to do some warm ups today.  That will be the true sign of how it is.
