Hopefully Murphy realized even more so last night that Mitchell should be starting over Frelick. It’s not like Frelick outhits lefties compared to Mitchell

What a game last night!! I will admit I was nervous going into yesterday’s game, but feeling excited for today! Would love to jump out to a lead early and keep it going for Koenig, Megill, and Williams to slam the door shut!

Quintana scares me a bit with our history of falling flat against him. Hopefully we can connect on some high fastballs early, we really need Willy, Rhys, and Gary Sanchez (if he starts at DH again) to do something tonight.

Quintana has actually preferred RHH this season in part due to the command and chase he's getting with his changeup. He goes more of a sinker/slurve mix to lefties that have seen better contact against them. As such I can see Mitchell maybe getting the start tonight

All you had to do was get one and seize the momentum and put the pressure back on the Mets. Keep playing our game and you have to feel good about our chances. Just ask that no outs be given away by our pitchers at first base.

Regardless of what happens tonight, it’s been an incredibly fun season and team to watch. They’ve already proven that they have more heart and grit than the Brewers teams of the past few seasons. And the future is bright. How could it not be when you have the second youngest position player group in baseball and a 20 year old phenom under contract for 9 more seasons and doing things that only prime Babe Ruth has done in the history of the game?

SSS, as always, but my subjective fears of Quintana from 2018 definitely contrast with the numerical reality.

He failed to get through 5 (though only giving up 2 runs each time) in a couple of starts against us this year, including in his last start. Both Mets losses.

Here's the batter/pitcher breakdown. Willy and William with good career numbers. Hoskins low BA, but a HR and SIX walks.

EDIT: Point is, I'm terrified because it's an elimination game. Anything can happen. But Quintana is not a bad draw as far as these things go. Mets will surely think the same about Tobias. Been a high-scoring series relative to the playoffs. Over/Under is 7.5. I'd definitely expect it to take at least four to win, but this stuff is not really predictable.

Chourio is gunna get drilled today. Not out of malice, but they are NOT gunna throw him anything on the outside of the plate. He'll get a HBP tonight, and he'll also rip a 110 mph double straight down the 3rd base line off of a low-inside breaking ball, to go with 2 Ks and a BB.

Brewers need to be really patient, try to get into that burned out bullpen as soon as possible. Diaz, even after a couple of days off is gunna give up a run, so let's not get all nervous about needing runs late, if they so need them.

Myers is going to give up a 2-run HR in the first. Murphy will need to make a tough decision with him early. He needs to stick with him, because he's going to finish 5 IP.

One of the outfielders are going to make an incredible catch to take away extra bases.

RHP Tobias Myers - 26 years old - 1 year of Major League experience - 138.0 IP

vs.

LHP Jose Quintana - 35 years old - 13 years of Major League experience - 1,969.2 IP

Quite the contrast!

The brewers just need to play a normal game.     They’ve played two games with really poor defense.    A few really bad mental mistakes.   And not hustling.     That’s terrible for the playoffs.    They survived last night by catching lightning in bottle that last inning g

lets hope they can loosen up now and just play a solid game.

I told myself that I wouldn't get too emotionally invested unless they made the NLDS, but a couple cracks of the bat last night changed that. I want this game so we can remember this group fondly and I want it because the fans deserve it.

The eyes of the baseball world will be on us tonight. Who is going to be the Nyjer Morgan of this team?

Definitely nervous with Tobias being a rookie and the lights being so bright. The whole world will be tuned in. I will feel terrible for him if he has a Suter moment. I'll breathe easier if we can get him through the 2nd with 1 or less.
