I think he's been a healthy scratch for most games this year.

Yeah, they said they were giving him time and then... wanted him to get back in shape. Now it's just... inactive.

That's wild to me. He was so clearly still an elite cover corner last year, he just wasn't able to stay healthy.

While talking about former Packers CBs playing well...Eric Stokes has been playing well.... in coverage. Specifically Man Coverage.

Also... kinda wish the Packers had jumped on the Ronald McCreary trade that the Titans just made.

So, they for some reason traded a 4th and 5th rounder to trade up one spot for the 5th QB in draft, let 2 apparently legit starting QB's walk in FA, and said thanks but no thanks to another legit starter and future HOFer. All because they are sure JJ is the guy. I hope it works out for them. I feel bad for their fans.

In fairness... I don't think anyone here would have said signing Donald or Jones would have been smart.

I'll admit, I thought McCarthy would be a near lock in that system. He's athletic, great arm, accurate, can make all the throws and he seemed to be a great leader.

Add that to a system in which QBs seems to thrive and... I thought it was smart to move on and go with him this year.

Sometimes it's SOO nice to be wrong(at least so far)!

Bears trying to blow a late 14 point lead after the Bengals get the onside kick.

I'm pretty sure I just saw Daniel's elbow bend in a way it is not designed to.  Only good news is that it's his non throwing elbow.

Given the score, why was he still playing well into the 4th quarter? He should have been removed several minutes ago.

Random question. Offense gets a 1st down. After the play, offensive player gets a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty for taunting.

Why is it 1st and 10 and not 1st and 25?

If the same player had been tackled a yard short of the first, it would be 2nd(or 3rd, 4th) and 16.

Because the chains haven't moved yet. It's a penalty on the end of the play - you mark off the yards, then the chains move to start the new set of downs.

Then it shouldn't be a first down if the 15 yards moves you back behind the first down marker.... You should only get one or the other.

Sean Payton and Mike McCarthy have almost identical records as HCs. 178-107 and 174-112-2. 9-9 and 11-11 in the playoffs, respectively. One Super Bowl, most of their success on the back of a HOF QB. Payton has this reputation for being a genius that just wins and McCarthy is an out-of-work dope.

Never has made any sense to me. They are the same guy.

I’ve been saying this for years. MM has one more conference championship game than Payton and with consistently worse defenses. His resume is better than Payton’s.

Not to mention MM was never implicated in a scheme to pay defensive players to take out the opposing team's QB... Dude should've been banned.

So a week after the Panthers go into Green Bay and beat the Packers, the Saints go into Carolina and beat the Panthers by 10 points.

I guess NFL teams play when they want to play and don't play when they really don't feel like playing.

After the Bears get Minny next week, they go:

vs Pit

@ Philly

@ GB

vs CLE

vs GB

@ SF

vs DET

Their floor for the rest of the season is extremely low. It irritates me that I have to even think about Chicago, but I’m guessing they’ll be irrelevant again in a month.

Will the Packers be motivated to play the Giants or will they lay another big, fat egg.

Which would even be made worse if Dart can't go.

We can hope that's the case, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears finish ahead of the Packers. And beat us both times.
