Good news, Lorenzen is right handed and has struggled against Milwaukee in his career. Only Yelich has a meaningful number of AB against Lorenzen, though.

Should Chourio rest today?

Except by OPS, Chourio’s double yesterday gives him better numbers than Yelich, Contreras, Hoskins through four games.

Chourio on pace for 405 strikeouts over 162 games.

Finally a night game, I would really have liked to see Freddy pitch today. I get that we want to be easy on him but it seems like we need a boost and the Royals do have Ragans going tomorrow. I get that this isn't a must win this early on but if Patrick only goes like 3 innings our bullpen will be dead and we play 25 games in 27 days. My guess is it will be Patrick for 75 pitches and then Connor Thomas after that which worries me that we are going to give up a ton of runs again. Here's to hoping we see the AAA version of Patrick from last year we need 6+ innings bad right now.

I know I read that Quintana should be scheduled to start the 11th and Myers and Woody need 2 or 3 more outings before they are ready but that could be an eternity if we don't get some length from our starters.

Nah, he should be in there.

Tired at barely 21 years old while playing baseball and being the DH the day before?

I'm guessing it is about the number of Ks rather than being tired.  I'd guess he is pressing too hard this year and might need to slow down, calm down, and refocus more than rest.

But I do think he should be in the lineup. Maybe drop him down to 5th or 6th for a game or two might make the point?

For real? He’s a marquee player, and one of faces of the franchise, taking a mental health break when the team is struggling at the outset? It would be a stunning lack of leadership by Murphy and Chourio.

No if anyone should sit it should be Yelich and Hoskins.  Both have done just about nothing so far.

I guess it's my 'old school' showing, but we're less than a week into the season & Peralta can't go on four days? I mean, it's not like he's going to go more than five innings/95 pitches anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hoskins sits. He's been disappointing, especially since we've seen 3 LH starters in the first four.

Agree with @Frisbee Slider. I welcome the righty.

Thought this would be a Bauers and Dunn kind of day.  Nasty lefty coming tomorrow in the day game; woulda made sense to give Hoskins and Capra the night off tonight.

Oh.  The above lineup is wrong:

Chourio should play like 155+ games this year. He needs to struggle for like 10 more games to get a day of break in my book. Yeli should sit like 1 game a week and then a game a week for either Sal or Mitchell in the OF (all likely ph or sub in later in the game). Murphy really needs to give Contreras a game or two a week DH'ing no matter how much he wants to catch every day.

I'm not dogging on Sal at all as I think his bat plays on this team and he's been one of the few who are hitting. I just sort of hope he's not going to be the full time 5th hitter in this lineup. Maybe they feel they'd rather have someone there who's going to grind out at bats but would rather see someone who's going to hit the gaps more often or has more HR pop.

No issues with Sal playing 5+ times a week but would prefer to see him at 7. Swap him and Mitchell when Yelich is going to be the DH.

They could. They'll get around 60-65 of them this year.

Honest question, where's the Around the League board/thread to discuss other teams? I want to yell about Shane Smith's start.
