Per Mccalvy

Three IL updates today:

Brandon Woodruff's next assignment is a start on Thursday in Nashville.

Blake Perkins has advanced to baseball activities.

Jeferson Quero, whose comeback from shoulder surgery was delayed by a hamstring injury, is also back to baseball activities.

Are baseball activities, like sitting in the dugout keeping the book?😎

They start by dumping the Gatorade on people and work their way up the the book keeping.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

Will be nice to get Perkins back but sure seems like it could be a while still if he is just resuming baseball activities.

If he were a pitcher, this would be bad.

However, hitters progress a little more quickly. Since he missed spring training I am guessing he probaly needs 20 to 30 AB's. It seems like a alot. However, he could get that at AAA in 1 to 2 weeks. I would say there is a decent chance he is ready to go in early May.

Early May for Perkins would be lovely. Sounds optimistic to me; hope I'm wrong.

Adam McCalvy had a couple of updates yesterday. Noted Ashby had some live game pitching at the Brewers Complex in Arizona, Civale pitched batting practice in Appleton and he expects Woodruff to make one more start in Nashville before his potential return to the majors.

Mitchell of course was put on the IL this past week and Perkins is on the 60 day IL so don't expect either back until late May.

When Woodruff, Civale, Ashby and Hall are healthy it will be interesting to see who gets sent down.

Priester is easy. Rodriguez, sure. Patrick seems to fit in Milwaukee so far. Tyler Alexander on the bubble?

We might have more pitchers than roster spots. It does seem like additional injuries (both real and imagined) sort this out.

Connor Thomas?

FanGraphs projects Elvin Rodriguez (last pitched May 7) to be our Wednesday starter, but I’ve got to believe it will be Logan Henderson (May 8). Or maybe a true bullpen game?

Boy does this club need to start winning.

Possibly two more rehab starts for Woodruff?!?  I understand making sure he's good to go but the season is wasting away and it's not like we're paying him a small salary.  Get his butt to Milwaukee.
