LHP Nick Lodolo starts for Cincinnati

We last faced Lodolo on 8/11/24 in Milwaukee

Lodolo went 5.1 IP, 3 H, 3 BB, 4 K and 3 ER

Ortiz hit a HR off Lodolo and Adames also  an RBI. Other bats were mostly quiet, aside from Gary Sanchez.

Jeimer Candelario is 2-3 with a BB against Cortes. No other Red has had any success or meaningful ABs against Cortes.

"Lodolo" is fun to read because I always read it at "Lololol"

Oh, that is a good starting point for @treego14's poem!

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

The Reds are about to go from Low to Low with Lodolo!
His first name is Nick and he and his teammates are about to get more sick!

Nasty Nestor is NOT a Patsy nor a Quitter!
Last game for him was Bitter!
But it's about to get Better for ole' Nestor!

Should be a brand new Cortes today ... that first start for him back in Yankee Stadium was a disaster in the making right from the acquisition.

Let's make it 3 in a row!

This will be Cortes' test day to see if he does or does not have arm issues still. This is a big one for him and the Brewers. Yes, make it 3 in a row.

Fair to assume Megill, Uribe and Koenig are unavailable tonight? Each pitched the last two games.

Could we get four innings combined from Hudson Peguero and Payamps? If Cortes goes 5 IP.

Save Tyler Alexander to help soak up innings tomorrow?

Cortes threw three home run pitches in a row in New York. Will he go for four?

Need to see more hitters start to produce.

They got away with minimal offense yesterday but it will likely take significantly more than 1 run today.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

They might be down 3-0 after three pitches.
