I’ll go ahead and say it. Yoho is not anything special, another mediocre arm in a bad bullpen. His  changeup isn’t anything. He can’t command it consistently so it gets hit or batters lay off it.

I was under the impression Yoho was unhittable and Brewers management should have all been fired for leaving him down for 3 weeks

Jokes aside, my biggest concern so far this year is the BP has not been a strength. Sure it might be affected by all the SP injuries, but their biggest strength the last several years has been putting together a killer BP over and over. If they lose that big advantage over other teams it makes things much more difficult.

Also, have to realize its still the guys first few innings in the bigs. Can't expect pure domination right away and small samples are fluky.

Playing the White Sox sucks because you feel like a failure if you don't sweep.

This trip exemplifies the season quite well. Played pretty subpar (mostly because of sloppiness and missed opportunities), but posted decent enough results.

32 games is about halfway to a reasonably meaningful sample. Schedule in May is not easy, but it's not that tough either. Cubs and a bunch of AL teams about where we are or slightly worse. 18 games where I'd really like to go at least 11-7. My big worry remains bullpen. If we can't lock down the 8th and 9th, we are going to have a very hard time doing enough.

Yep, he sucks. No command and a pedestrian fastball = no margin for error

I don’t complain much about our crew, but this team has some really big gaping holes. The bullpen has been very suspect, Short and 3rd have been pretty awful, starting pitching has been very solid overall given the injuries.

Yoho has to figure it out. His turn to wear this one but he has the raw stuff to turn this around

Which would be what? A 92 mph fastball or a change up and cutter he can’t land for strikes against major league hitters ?

Yoho either needs some velocity or better shape to his fastball to keep hitters honest. The changeup while good is something guys can just sit on and spit on if the command stinks.

This weekend could be brutal.

I’m concerned about what the Cubs offense, which has racked up a ton of runs while playing the toughest schedule in Mlb might do to the Brewers staff.

And the Brewers sure aren’t equipped to compete in a slugfest , especially with hitters like Yelich, Chourio, and Contreras all struggling.

Gifts in the form of walks and shoddy defense have masked how bad the Brewers hitters have been in this series.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

What good did it do to let Yoho wear it like that?  Trying to save the bullpen?  Dumb.

The kid is too young to mess with his head like this.  Bad managerial decision imo.

Indeed, and as a result he has had trouble pitching clean innings so far in the majors.

Yoho's stuff is undeniably good. So good that he really didn't need to bother with "pitching" in the minors because 21 yearolds in A+ couldn't even get near it. He was only "throwing" the ball, so to speak. The change is fantastic but he needs to develop more control. The fastball lacks speed and IVB. The sweeper is below average and I'm not too sure he should keep throwing it. It carried him through college and got him drafted but doesn't look like a major league pitch.

The potential is obviously there but there is serious work to be done. He was never going to get exposed in the minors. He needed to face big leaguers to see the holes in his game. They are evident now and its time to get to work

Where are you getting this from? He doesn’t throw hard and can’t land his off speed and breaking pitches for strikes. That doesn’t scream “undeniably good stuff”. Rather it screams a deception style pitcher who  hasn’t been able to fool major league hitters as he did the lesser competition in the minors. Air bender part 2…. Ha!

It seriously might be time to send Yoho back down to Louisville for some extra seasoning rather than having him pitch in the majors.
