Now they are listing Hall as the starter?  Did something change?

Just going with an opener with the lefties atop their lineup

Wouldn’t be surprised to see them do it a few times this series

Piggyback starters have finally come to the MLB level.  It is an interesting idea.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I hope the Philly-Atlanta game tonight goes 16 innings.

The Brewers may have gotten a break because the Phillies were rained out on Wednesday and had to play 2 games yesterday. The Brewers will also miss Wheeler, who pitched yesterday.

The teams may have some rain issues this weekend as heavy rain is expected on the East Coast

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Should tell us if this team can hang with the big boys to some degree or not.

I was thinking about this because it seems that the Brewers schedule since they played the Cubs in early May has been light on series against the better teams in MLB.

I looked at MLB standings that ranked the teams  1- 30 based on their current W-L record and saw that the Brewers are 5–11 against teams in the top 10, 11-11 against teams in the middle 10, and 13-6 against teams in the bottom 10.

The Brewers only series win against a team in the top 12 was the 2-1 series win over the Tigers in April. Their performance so far has really screamed “.500 team”. If they’re going to rise above that they’re going to have to start winning some series against better teams. They’ll get some shots at that the next few weeks.

All just my guesses ONLY.

1) Chance of rain in Philly maybe is why??

2) Priester's blister aggravating him again.

3) Just the opener thing. The old Murphy "Shake and Bake."

The next 22 games will be a challenge

I'll be satisfied if they are .500 going into the Pirates series on the 23rd.

I'll be interested to see what the plan is re Hall tonight. With Priester following him I'd like to see them try to get Hall at least once through the order.

Where is the line drawn? Does, say, three innings cause you to cross over from opener to piggy?

Looks like Harper might be out all weekend too.

He says he is still “super sore” after being drilled in his surgically repaired elbow by Spencer Steider.
