Can we please not post in this thread unless it's about an actual official signing?  There are other threads for discussion of the players, speculation about whether a guy will sign, etc.?

You mean like you speculated about what Episcope will sign for on page 1 of this thread?

A fair shout, if it's not signing related let's move it to the post-draft general chat thread!

Going to attempt to maneuver all the non-signing posts in this thread now. Because it slots them in time-stamp order, things could get a bit sloppy over there.

More on the Rylan Mills signing -

Quote

Sunday, Mills will head to Arizona to join up with the Arizona Complex League Brewers. Mills will play with the squad over the next six weeks before the offseason. Then he’ll prepare for spring training within the organization, as he looks to work his way through the minors, and eventually, Major League Baseball.

Heck yeah!

A big assumption, but not outlandish… they should sign all of the college picks. That said the high schoolers they have already signed make this class already seem like a good one. Obviously gotta get cairone signed. Then hopefully a few more in the 11-20 range, I think the brewers cooked in this one!

Jake's got a great spreadsheet going, but since I am psychotic about these things, I will also be keeping track of signings in a spreadsheet. Feel free to follow along there if you're interested. Link to the sheet is in the tweet below.

Looks like Sean Episcope and Josiah Ragsdale have also signed according to the BA Tracker.

Episcope signed for $335,550 which is $111,850 under slot. Ragsdale signed for $237,500 which is $32,200 under slot.

That puts the Brewers at $364,950 under slot through their first 3 signings.

Looks like Brendan Brock is staying with Oklahoma

As I anticipated originally. He's betting on himself and why would he not? Too much raw athleticism and massive massive upside. He knows what he's working with. I expect big things. Bummer though. Man, I wanted him in the Brewers system to pair with Dinges. 😅

I don’t know if the article was ever posted here, but he’s also a gigantic Oklahoma fan. Like grew up dreaming of playing for Oklahoma and his room is decked out in Oklahoma stuff type of fan. I think it’s probably as much Oklahoma as it is betting on himself.

Honestly, it's the same reason why I thought Roupe was a long shot. But, here we are. I have to imagine, in that specific circumstance, the coaching carousel and instability of the program in his committment transition likely played in the Brewers favor?

The dream can live on when we grab him with the 30th pick next year 😉

At this point (and I could be proven wrong today) I would expect most of the signings to be released as the Brewers open up this weekend's homestand.

A bunch of new signings per Baseball America

LHP Frank Cairone signed for $1,097,500 which is $156,900 under slot

RHP Jacob Morrison signed for $697,500 which is $116,100 under slot

RHP Josh Flores signed for $722,500 which is $122,900 over slot

LHP Andrew Healy signed for $147,500 which is $52,500 under slot

C/IF Rylan Mills signed for $247,500 which counts $97,500 against the bonus pool

Brewers still have JD Thompson, Daniel Dickinson, Hayden Vucinovich and Braylon Owens to sign in the Top 10 rounds and currently have $4,209,455 remaining in their bonus pool (counting overage). Should leave a lot of money left for more Round 11-20 signings

I did not expect savings from Cairone or the lower over slot for Flores

Right. I assumed Cairone was right at slot - given the fact the pick was use it or lose it. But figured Flores was going to be a little more overslot.

Should have decent money to offer to those #11-20 picks I think, as Thompson could go over slot, but not a lot and Owens I doubt goes much over slot, and if he doesn't sign it is not a huge loss in the overall pool.

Ragsdale was signing I believe - but no info on the amount? @Jake McKibbin - you switched him from Yes to Unconfirmed on that spreadsheet (compared to the one you posted this morning).

Also noted you have Brock as unconfirmed on this most recent spreadsheet, but previously as a No. Sounds like he was going to OU, but things can always change right?

I do remember that this time last year Dubanewicz was on campus at UF, and surprisingly signed last minute. So I'm still holding out on some of these picks.

Apologies, working off two different versions form my home and work laptops, trying to keep both in line.

I'll get all the tidbits ironed out tomorrow, but Brock is still an OU commit (given it's from his own Instagram, I'd take it for real)

Ragsdale has indeed signed and the amount is confirmed for $237,500

That feature is on the draft board in the draft resources section in the pancake menu at the upper right corner of the page. However it’s not well updated. From last years draft it still has Blake Burke as pending for example

This year it's updated, I took it over myself for that very reason.

@snoogans8056 ask and you shall receive

That leaves $2,649,225 left in the bonus pool to sign Dickinson, Vucinovich, Owens and any round 11-20 picks over $150K.

Absolutely no apologies needed. The fact that you are tracking this is amazing. Thank you good sir.

I was just curious if I missed something that had changed - I mean I assumed not since I’m like several folks who refresh this forum like every 15 minutes.

I look forward to your update. Keep it coming. Thanks for doing this!!

So probably an ideal finish to the class from rounds 11-20 as far as dipping into the bonus pool would be Roupe (reports of signing confirmed), Hughes, and Underwood.
